PHILOPTOCHOS NEWS Our first General Assembly Meeting of the ecclesiastical year on Sunday, September 18 th was a great success! Perhaps we can attribute that to Father John Bakas outstanding presentation on One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. He reminded us that we are One Orthodox Christian Church and we need to include all those of good faith who wish to embrace our Orthodox religion. We must welcome all Orthodox Christians of other ethnic groups, as well as people of other races and colors. Let us try harder to make everyone who enters our doors feel welcome. Thank you to all who attended and a special thanks to our hostesses, Jan and Allison, door hostesses, Dorothea and Marianna and Ourania for the lovely lunch! Our next General Assembly will be on Sunday, October 23 rd. We will have a speaker and presentation from Best Buddies. More information to follow.
