BRANDING GUIDELINES FOR FAITH CHURCH Mark 1:17 Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men. Marketing Team Vision Statement Faith Church will be known for outreach programs, community involvement, and as the place to be. Marketing Team Mission Statement An outreach team that grows the church through consistent, frequent messaging that speaks to individual hearts to bring people into the Kingdom of God. Overview The following guidelines provide instruction for accurate and consistent use of Faith Church s branding. They will ensure the proper usage of our primary Faith Church logo, all secondary logos, taglines; consistency in all church communications internal and external; and will outline the process to be used for establishing any future logos within Faith Church s ministries. These guidelines will assure that our communications and marketing materials reinforce the association of every event and ministry with Faith Church. Consistent logo usage will provide top of mind association/recognition of Faith Church in our community. Our goal is that people will see our logo and immediately think, Oh yes, I know that church. Our logo will serve as a visual identity for Faith Church. Following these guidelines you will find the approved artwork for all of Faith s primary and secondary logos. 2 P age Version: July 9, 2012
Use of Faith Church Logo 1. Our primary logo should be on all advertising/promotional material, both internal and external. 2. There are b/w and color versions of our logo available. Which one you select will be dependent on its intended use, whether you are printing in b/w or color, and on the background color of your marketing material. There are also templates available for letterhead, envelopes and newsletters (for the newsletter template, contact Phyllis Pieri). 3. The preferred position for the Faith Church logo is the upper left hand corner, but there are exceptions to this depending on the particular communication. 4. Do not modify the logo. Although the size can be adjusted, the proportions should remain consistent. It should never be stretched, squished or skewed in any fashion. To enlarge the logo, grab any corner dot and pull outward to desired size. To avoid skewing the design, do not pull from the side or bottom. 5. There should be white or open space around the logo to avoid a cluttered look. 6. Use of A United Methodist Ministry Logo 1. The Cross & Flame logo is optional, but not required on promotional materials. 2. If you choose to use this logo, consider it secondary to the Faith Church logo. While the preferred position of the Faith Church logo is the upper left hand corner, the preferred position of the flame is the lower right hand corner. Again there are exceptions to this general rule. 3. Do not modify the logo. Although the size can be adjusted, the proportions should remain consistent. It should never be stretched, squished or skewed in any fashion. To enlarge the logo, grab any corner dot and pull outward to desired size. Use of Faith Church Tagline Come Walk With Us 1. Although the use of our tagline Come Walk With Us is encouraged, it is not mandatory. 2. This tagline was created to be altered with various action words. Come With Us can be filled in with an action word that fits your particular ministry/ event/etc., i.e., Come Serve With Us or Come Sing With Us. It is intended to be used as a call to action for current members as well as potential congregants. 3. There should be no quotation marks used around this tagline nor should a period be used on your promotional piece. 4. There are no restrictions as to the color or font of the tagline as long as it ties into the overall look of your piece. Use of United Methodist Church Tagline Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors 1. This United Methodist Church tagline may be used where appropriate, but it is not considered our primary tagline. 2. There should be no quotation marks used around this tagline nor should a period be used on your promotional piece. 3. There are no restrictions as to the color or font of the tagline as long as it ties into the overall look of your piece. 4. Use of Faith Church Ministry Logos 1. Logos are available for several ministries of Faith Church as follows: Outlet (Wednesday night ministry for all ages) The Point (Children s Sunday school through 5 th grade) In the Beginning Preschool/Faith Mother s Day Out (ministry for ages 20 months through pre- Kindergarten) 2. As with our other logos, these logos should not be modified in any way. Although the size can be adjusted, the proportions should remain consistent. For the time being, all promotional material will need to be reviewed by the Marketing Team to ensure consistent branding. All materials should be printed and professional looking no handmade posters, etc. Please allow a minimum of one week for the approval process.
