C h u r c h L i f e U p d a t e Road to Resurrection: Kids from grades K-5 (and their parents) are invited to join us from 6 to 8 PM this Wednesday for Road to Resurrection! Journey with us as we travel with Jesus and learn about the events leading up to his resurrection. Each child will receive a snack supper, treat bag and special mementos of the true meaning of Easter. Guests are welcome, so please invite your friends. Paper Product Round Up: During the month of April, WMU will be collecting paper products for donation to the Baptist Children s Homes of North Carolina. Please drop off paper towels, toilet paper, napkins and tissues in the blue collection box. Thank you for your help. JOY Group Tour of Duke Gardens: Please join us on Friday, April 28 as we travel to Durham, NC to tour the beautiful Duke Gardens. The cost is $10 for the guided walking tour, and we will have lunch at a local cafeteria. Please meet at the church at 10 a.m. We will return around 6:00 p.m. Please let Teresa Martin know if you would like to attend. The deadline for signing up is this Friday, April 14. Easter Sunday at Calvary: We will celebrate Christ s resurrection next Sunday, April 16 with a sunrise service at 7:15 a.m., Uplift at 8:30 a.m., Easter breakfast at 9:45 a.m. and Traditional at 10:55 a.m. Port-A-Pit Chicken: Tickets are now available for the Port-A-Pit Chicken fundraiser to support youth missions. Please get your tickets now and help us sell them to your family, friends and co-workers. Books of tickets are available in the fellowship hall before and after Sunday School through May 7. The meal includes 1/2 chicken, baked beans, BBQ slaw, roll and dessert for $10 on Friday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Plates will be available for pick-up, dine-in or lunch delivery. Please contact Alex Bracey if you have questions. SBA Meeting: The Surry Baptist Association will hold their mid-year meeting on Monday, April 24 at 7 p.m. at Dobson First Baptist Church.
