I. An Angelic Encounter a) On August 2, 2018, Andrew Mdoe, a powerful man of God and our Lifeschool leader in Tanzania, was prompted to pray for our church. The burden of the Lord came upon him and he interceded for us. b) Later that day, Alice Unanaowo had a powerful prophetic encounter. An angel came into her studio, where she was cutting fabric, and said, Who will come into My throne room? Alice said that she couldn t stand on her feet anymore and was crying uncontrollably. She looked up and saw a man clothed in pure white, with such a brightness that he had to stand far away from her. In his hands was the earth and it had different colors. The man said, Come and I will tell you things about it. c) Alice said, God is giving us access to His throne room through revelation and wants us to wait on Him to show us the next step of His move on earth. d) Note: Andrew s intercession likely activated the angel to visit Alice and give her this message. II. The Invitation to Us a) Revelation 4:1-2: After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things. Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne. b) The Lord is inviting us into the throne room to worship Him as priests and to then become messengers of God s voice from the throne. c) There is a door standing open in heaven for us at Restoration Life. It is an open door for us anytime we gather. We simply have to believe and receive this. It s unique to us. And it s always available to us. d) The Lord is calling to us with love and desire, Come up here. Come up to the throne of God in the Spirit and join with the worshipers of heaven around the throne. e) I will show you what must take place after these things. After we serve as priests who minister to the Lord, He will give us prophetic revelation of what will take place in the earth. We will become a voice for the Lord from His throne. A messenger of God s voice from the throne. f) There are many voices speaking today, many voices even within the church. One person says the Lord is saying one thing and another says He is saying another. These often contradict one another. This makes the Lord seem as if He has multiple personality disorder. There are few voices today who are speaking God s voice from the throne. But this is the Lord s invitation to us at Restoration Life. g) The Lord is asking us, Will you come into My throne? Will you minister to Me as priests? Will you be My mouthpiece to the nations? Will you be My voice from the throne? h) Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven. We can only gain access to the throne room by our spirit-to-spirit connection with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 2:18 says: For through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. What a profound blessing that we presently have! We have direct access right now to the Father who sits on the throne through the indwelling Spirit. III. Become a Bethel a) In Genesis 28:10-22, Jacob had a dream in which a ladder stretched from earth to heaven. He saw the angels of God ascending and descending upon it. It was a portal, an open heaven, a connection between earth and heaven. b) Here s some of his statements: Surely the LORD is in this place (Gen. 28:16); How awesome is this place! (Gen. 28:17); This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven (Gen. 28:17); He called the name of that place Bethel [house of God] (Gen. 28:19). c) Restoration Life is called to be a Bethel. Not Bethel Church in Redding, California. But a Bethel in the Spirit. We are called to be: A portal that connects earth to heaven; A ladder where the angels of God ascend and descend into our midst; A place known for the activity of angels; A place where surely the Lord s manifest presence dwells; A place that is awesome because of the glory of God dwelling among us; A house of God that is connected to the gate of heaven. d) Jesus told Nathaniel, Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see the heavens opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man (John 1:51). e) Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:10-13: For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. f) The Holy Spirit is Christ in us. Because Christ is in, each of us have Jacob s ladder dwelling in us. Each of us have a direct connection to heaven. g) The Holy Spirit is like an umbilical chord that connects us to heaven. He connects us to: The deep things within God s heart; The thoughts of God; The revelation of God; The activity of heaven, especially the throne room. Restoration Life Church www.restorationlife.org Page 2

h) Everyone who is born of God has Jacob s Ladder in them because of Christ. Think this through. We are all a Jacob s Ladder who has a direct connection from earth to heaven because of the indwelling Spirit. Imagine what would happen if everyone of us started to access this blessing and lived with this open heaven and direction connection to the throne of God? i) Now imagine what would happen if we, as individual Jacob s Ladders, connected to one another in this place. If we became the living stones who were fit together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. We would become a corporate Jacob s Ladder that connected earth to heaven. j) Such is our call. Such is our responsibility. IV. On Earth as In Heaven a) Jesus said in the Lord s prayer: Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven (Matt. 6:10). b) What we see in heaven, God wants on earth. To be more specific, what we see in Revelation 14:1-5, the Lord wants in our worship now. We don t have to wait until we die and go to heaven to experience a taste of this now. c) Revelation 14:1-5 states: Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps. And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they have kept themselves chaste. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And no lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless. d) Revelation 14:1-5 is the model for our worship in this new season. We will look at two parts of this model today. V. #1: Holy of Holies Worship that Ministers to the Lord. a) Notice that worship takes place on Mount Zion (14:1) and before the throne (14:3). This is holy of holies worship before the throne of God. b) This is ministry to the Lord and for the Lord in the holy of holies. This is not for us. Most worship today is not to the Lord and for the Lord, but for us. It s selfish. c) Recall from dad s teaching a few weeks ago that strange fire was likely fire that didn t come from the altar of sacrifice. It was fire that didn t cost anything. The fire that ignites the incense of worship and prayer comes from sacrifice. The sacrifice of Jesus first, but also our own sacrifice. d) We are the sacrifice in worship. Romans 12:1 states, I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. e) The incense of worship and prayer in the holy of holies was made of a precise formulate dedicated to minister to God and not to the soul of man. f) Exodus 30:37-38 states, The incense which you shall make, you shall not make in the same proportions for yourselves; it shall be holy to you for the Lord. Whoever shall make any like it, to use Restoration Life Church www.restorationlife.org Page 3

as perfume, shall be cut off from his people. Holy of holies worship is strictly for the Lord. Nothing of self can be mixed in with it. There can be no motive to benefit from it. Will we benefit? Absolutely. In His presence is fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore. But this can t be our motive. He is our motive. He is our ambition. g) The worship in Revelation 14:1-5 is like the sons of Zadok in Ezekiel 44. They were granted the opportunity to minister to the Lord in the holy of holies unlike the other priests relegated to the outer court, where they ministered to the people and kept the machine running. h) Remember our invitation to pursue the glory realm from several years back. VI. #2: Worshipers Who Worship a) In Revelation 14:1-5, the remnant (the 144,000) worshiping in heaven were worshipers before they gathered together to worship. They lived a lifestyle of bowing down to the King as worshipers and then they were gathered together to express their worship corporately. b) Harps and singing came after this group had been established as worshipers. They became worshipers and then the Lord gave them harps and they sang a new song to the Lord. c) We are to become worshipers before we worship. d) Jesus said, But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers (John 4:23). Notice that before the Father seeks worship, He is first seeking worshipers. e) Before we do worship to music the singing, praising, shouting, and dancing on Sunday the Father wants us to become worshipers internally. f) God is calling us to become before we do. God is calling us to become worshipers before we worship through music on Sundays. g) The word for worship means to kiss the hand towards one, in token of reverence. Among the Orientals, especially the Persians, this word meant to fall upon the knees and touch the ground with the forehead as an expression of profound reverence. In the New Testament, this word meant to do homage by kneeling or prostration, whether in order to express respect or to make supplication. h) Worship has so much more to do with bowing down than it does music. Is music one way we express our worship to the Lord? Yes. Absolutely. But it s just one way we express our worship. Unfortunately, music has become the primary way most believers express their worship. i) Don t misunderstand what I m saying. I love music and I love expressing my worship to the Lord through music. However, if we have not first become worshipers by bowing down to the lordship of Jesus Christ in our hearts and living for Him Monday-Saturday, then our singing, shouting, dancing, and clapping is far from what the Father is seeking. j) I believe that Jesus is seeking to do a new thing in the modern-day worship movement. Jesus Himself is leading a movement to establish His betrothed bride as a worshiper. He wants to raise up a priestly bride and fulfill the Father s eternal purpose. The Father is seeking worshipers and Jesus intends to fulfill the desires of His heart. k) Jesus seeks to fulfill the Father s desire and intention for true worshipers by: Establishing us as a people who follow the Lamb wherever He goes; Establishing us as a people like Abraham, who sacrifice their greatest treasures, promises, and destiny to the Lord; Restoration Life Church www.restorationlife.org Page 4

Establishing us as a people like David, who have a true heart after God s heart before they try to put music to their worship; Establishing us a people like Mary, who will take their very life and break it open upon the Lord, which is costly worship that ministers to Jesus Himself. l) The Lord is doing a new thing in the worship movement that is starting from the inside out. We must first be established internally as a worshiper before we worship to music. We must first bow down to the lordship of Jesus Christ in our hearts before we sing to music. The heart of worship must be restored. m) Worship is what we do; a worshiper is who we are. n) Alice had another encounter that will further clarify what it means to be a worshiper. She said, My eyes were opened and I saw inside the belly of everyone in the gathering. I could see a being [the Lord] in them, but it was in different sizes. Before I could ask why, I was told that it represented the size of God in us. Some allowed God in them to grow big and some small. o) It was then told to her: You can t worship me passed the level of Me you carry in you. Alice continued: The being [God] in them wants to grow in their heart. He was too small in me and wants to grow bigger in me. p) Our worship is measured by the amount of God we allow to possess us. Restoration Life Church www.restorationlife.org Page 5
