In 2019 we expect each member to aspire to a higher level of worship, relationship, discipleship and stewardship. Ephes. 4:11-16 (NKJV) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, [12] for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, [13] till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; [14] that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, [15] but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--christ-- [16] from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. In this new year, each of us should renew our commitment to the Lord Jesus, to one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, and to seeing lost souls served and saved. A television that shows the church service has been added to the room to make it more convenient for you as a parent. The room is also equipped with chairs and a changing table. Parents please remember to cleanup after your children when using the nursery.
Weekly Announcements Ministry Spotlight on the Salem History Walk: Each month a current or past Ministry will be highlighted to tell their unique story. For April the Church Anniversary will be the spotlight. Ministries that are interested in being featured in upcoming months should see a Futures Committee Representative. Pink Sunday: TODAY, Salem Baptist Church will be hosting the annual Pink Sunday! Pink Sunday is a community effort to raise awareness about breast health, breast cancer and the importance of early detection. Join us as we honor and pray for survivors for their courage and remember those who have lost their lives to breast cancer. Members are encouraged to wear pink clothing to show their support. Pink Sunday: The Pink Sunday Committee is asking women to stop by the Pink Sunday tables in the vestibule to receive complimentary educational material. Nursing Home Visitation Ministry: Under the direction of Deacon & Mother Fairly, the SBC Nursing Home Visitation Ministry will officially began on Sunday April 14, 2019. If you feel led to pray and visit the sick and homebound, we would like you to join our ministry. The mission of this ministry is to extend the church and love of Jesus to Salem members who are unable to physically make it to worship. Please sign up in the main hallway after the 8:30 and 11:30 worship services. For more information please contact Deacon Fairly at 402-709-2247. 2019 Vision Picture April 28: Children and Youth 18 and under, please join Pastor Bachus at 10:30 A.M. for the 2019 Vision pictures. Youth and their parents should meet in the sanctuary following first service for the photos. Pictures taken will be placed on the Vision Walk in 2020 as we take yet another step toward a Century of Ministry.
