Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. I Corinthians 5:7 The old leaven, Paul is talking about, is the old nature or old sins that has spoiled us for such a long time. Once the old nature is gone out, or purged out, we become that new lump, or that new creature in Christ. Leaven is actually liken unto yeast in dough, that causes bread to rise when it is exposed to heat. This reminds me of a time when I was a teenager. I was carrying some old trash to the city landfill, when a truck came from the bakery with barrels of fresh dough. There had been a breakdown of the machinery, at the bakery, and they needed to get rid of the dough. My father had some hogs and I remembered how hogs loved to eat fresh dough. I asked if I could have some of the dough to feed our hogs. I was given several barrels and placed them in my pickup truck and started for home. About a mile down the road I noticed the dough begin to rise, because it was a hot summer day. The dough filled my truck bed and began to run over into the street. It turned out to be a real mess. This is the way sin reacts in our lives. It is like leaven, it gets bigger and bigger. This is what Paul meant, when he said, to purge our or get rid of the leaven or sin in our lives. This is the change that we need. In Hebrews 12:1, The writer says to.. lay aside every weight and the sin which doeth easily beset us. This means to get rid of, lay aside, or put it out of our life. The more we lay aside or put aside, the more like Christ we become. Paul, again says, in Colossians 3:8-10, But now ye also put of all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth, lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge, after the image of him that created him. Now that we understand what the Bible is talking about, we must ask ourselves, How do we actually get rid of these sins or leaven? Remember the Holy Spirit helpeth our infirmities. This is the key! If we have the desire to change, the Holy Spirit will help us! We must pray for deliverance, confessing our sin and holding on in faith for total and complete deliverance. Sometimes we must go our minister and be prayed for. But remember hold on ion faith. God will never fail us. If we are determined, God will do His part. This is the change for the better. This change, is the change toward Christ. The change we all need. May God help each of us to make this change now. Go ahead and do it now. Pastor Larry Perkins
Sometimes it's hard for me to understand Why we pull away from each other so easily, Even though we're all walking the same road Yet we build dividing walls between Our brothers and ourselves. But I, I don't care what label you may wear If you believe in Jesus you belong with me. The bond we share is all I care to see And we'll change the world forever If you will join with me, Join and sing, sing, You're my brother, you're my sister, So take me by the hand Together we will work until He comes. There's no foe that can defeat us When we're walking side by side. So long as there is love, We will stand. The day will come when we will be as one, And with a mighty voice together we will proclaim that Jesus, Jesus is King. It will echo through the earth; It will shake the nations, And the world will see, See that you're my brother, you're my sister So take me by the hand Together we will work until He comes. There's no foe that can defeat us When we're walking side by side. So long as there is love, We will stand. Take me by the hand, Join with me. Join and see - yeah. You're my brother, you're my sister, So take me by the hand. Together we will work until He comes. There's no foe that can defeat us When we're walking side by side. As long as there is love, We will stand You're my brother, you're my sister So take me by the hand Together we will work until He comes. There's no foe that can defeat us When we're walking side by side. So long as there is love, We will stand.

Her ministry was a blessing. The anointing of the Lord was there and people were touched by God in both services. There is nothing like the moving of God s Spirit! Brother Don Warren ministered in music on the organ and by playing the guitar. What a blessing to hear Brother Don play the organ once again. The spirit of the Lord was tremendously great.
