Matthew 9:36-38 From Pastor Ralph... A couple of weeks ago, a few dozen athletes had the opportunity to reach the pinnacle of their sport by playing in the Super Bowl. After years of training, practice, and games, they had the opportunity many dream of, but few realize. Yet in the scope of history that game will be forgotten and have no lasting impact. Meanwhile, the most important conflict in history is taking place. It is the eternal struggle between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of God. The eternal existence of every human being is at stake and you are invited to play! You have a role in the outcome. Sunday I talked about Ephesians 2:10, For we are God s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Our purpose in life is to do the good works that God put us here to do. Before you were born, these assignments were given to you. If we do the things He created us to do, people will see the reality of His presence and witness His character and glory. Believers will grow and live their purpose as we build the Church. People will gain eternal life because we let God work through us. How can you do all that? The verse says that you are God s workmanship, or more literally, His masterpiece. He has made you in such a way that when the Spirit of God works in you, you are given all you need to accomplish all He put you here to do. That s why Paul could say, I can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13), because God can do immeasureably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us... (Ephesians 3:20). God promises to give us all we need (II Peter 1:3). Your life is more important than you know! This is your purpose. Ask the Lord to fill you with His Spirit until He fills you. Then get into the game! What you do with your life will never be forgotten and will make an impact for all eternity!

Getting To Know Our Harvest Worship Team Featured Member: Terry Lavin My #1 goal in life is? When Pastor Ralph posed this statement to us during the message this past Sunday, I did not hesitate to write Cheryl Hidle Director of Worship down to praise God! I have always believed from my early childhood that I have been connected to Jesus through singing. My earliest memories of praising God through song are from when I was about 11 years old. I was chosen to sing a solo of Gentle Woman during a Midnight Mass service at St. Michael Catholic Church in Frostburg, MD, where I was born and raised. When God planted me and my family at Harvest almost five years ago, I knew that He was calling me to be involved with the worship ministry here. I didn t quite know how at first because I had a lot of worldly fear to overcome about being nervous and singing in front of people. But I trusted God and took the first step by reaching out and joining the adult choir. As my relationship with Jesus and my new church family grew, my spiritual maturity grew as well. I currently sing as a lead vocalist on the worship team and as a member of Harvest Blend Men s Ensemble. & Performing Arts To get involved, contact Cheryl Hidle, worship@harvestdothan.com or 702.6555, x247 Page 3

If you would be willing to help out the Browns, please contact the church office at 702-6555 x243 or email congregationalcare@harvestdothan.com. ADVANCING HIS KINGDOM Easter Volunteer Meeting People who don t have a regular church home are more likely to attend church on Easter morning than any other Sunday of the year. This presents us with an enormous opportunity to reach the lost in our community, but it also presents us with the challenge of making sure we are ready be good hosts. Please begin praying now that many will come and that God will meet them and speak to them. On Sunday, March 10, at 5:30pm we will have a meeting in the Office Building to recruit volunteers to help serve on our ministry teams on Easter Sunday. This is a great way to get involved in helping others come to know the Lord. Ask the Lord to bless all of our teams and use every part of the day for His glory. If you would like to go ahead and sign up to volunteer for one of our ministry teams, please visit our website and click on the Easter Volunteer slide - that will take you to the sign-up link.
