June 11, 2017 Page 5 ST. FLORIAN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION JULY 9 AND JULY 23, 2017 COME TO 9:45AM MASS THEN ENJOY AN HOUR OF FUN KONSOWSKI HALL 10AM-11AM BIBLE STORIES GAMES CRAFTS COME AND BRING YOUR FRIENDS SVDP DROP OFF BINS From the Pastor's Desk Dear "To Teach Who Christ Is" donor, In addition to the other information regarding this collection, please remember that the program was meant to take 5 years to help you spread your donation over time. Some ofyou have already given the entire sum of money that you pledged. The 60% from the program goes directly into our parish account. Anything above that we get 100%. At the end ofthe 5 year period we hope to use the money to purchase a new boiler for our Church. This is way overdue! If you have any questions about your pledge, please call (312) 534-8500. Thank you for your generosity and please continue fulfilling your pledge. St. Florian is counting on you! Yours in Christ, Fr. Robert Marchwiany, Pastor The Saint Vincent de Paul clothing bins (located In our parking lot behind the church) are strictly for clothing and shoes ONLY. All bundles should be bagged and tied. Nothing should be left outside the bins. If bins are full, please come back the following week. Bins are emptied on a regular basis. Anything left out-side bins will be destroyed by the weather which makes it useless to everyone. People have been rummaging through the bins and ripping the bags open and taking out clothing. If anyone Ifyou are new to the parish, stop in the rectory to register. sees this please remind them that the clothing is for people who are in need. Feast of the Holy Trinity The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ... ROMANS 8:16-17 If we are heirs to the kingdom of God, should we not work to build up that kingdom? Should we not be good stewards of our inheritance, using our time, talent and treasure to care for the Church. Solemnity of the Holy Trinity Prayer Father, you sent your Word to bring us truth and your Spirit to make us holy. Through them we come to know the mystery of your life. Help us to worship you, one God in three Persons, by proclaiming and living our faith in you. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen A big thank you to all who took part in the "To Teach Who Christ Is" Campaign. We appreciate your generosity. The Archdiocese credits us every month with 60% of your CURRENT payments. Some people are DRAMATICALLY delinquent in their payments which slows down our goal. We really can't move forward until we receive most of the funds for the boiler. If you have any questions about your payments, please call the Archdiocese at 312-534-8500. Yours in Christ, Fr. Robert Marchwiany, Pastor
