Friday: Cole, Rule, Elliott ***Recess duty runs from 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.*** I pray this newsletter finds each of you well. I want to take this opportunity to invite you to join us this evening at 7 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas for an evening of forgiveness, unity, and healing. Our parish and school community has been through so many difficult times since the start of our school year in September. This event will offer each of us a place to encounter the healing and forgiveness we all seek. I strongly encourage each of you to consider joining us for this amazing evening of healing. For additional information on parish evening, please click the image above. Additionally, as we look into next week, we look forward to hosting Kindergarten Round Up on Tuesday, March 5th from 6 to 7 p.m. in our gymnasium. During this time, we will be registering students for the 2019-2020 school year. In addition to registering our kindergarten students, we also welcome our returning family to register for the 2019-2020 school year via the link below. I would encourage each of you to share our Kindergarten Round Up event on Facebook and share the good news about St. Thomas Aquinas Parish School.

As you begin your preparations for Lent, I have again prepared a Lenten calendar that will promote an enhanced prayer life, as well as random acts of kindness throughout the 40 days of Lent. Please look for this calendar to come home on Wednesday, March 6th and for it to be linked in Tartan Times on Friday, March 8th. As we continue to prepare for Lent, our parish community invites each of you to to join in the Best Lent Ever, a 40-day spiritual journey. Signing up for this wonderful FREE email program is simple and can be done by clicking on the image above. Once you sign up, you will then receive daily emails throughout Lent beginning on Ash Wednesday with short videos from Matthew Kelly or a member of his team, presenting simple ways to overcome resistance and pursue happiness, which is found by putting God at the center of our lives. Again, this program is simple, free, and will push you in the pursuit of God's amazing dream for your life over the next 40 days. Additionally, you can find other FREE Lenten programs through Bishop Barron & Word on Fire lentreflections.com or Franciscan University redeemedonline.com/lent. We would also like to welcome our families back to school on Thursday, March 7th from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the gymnasium as we host our annual Science Fair. This year our students will have a

variety of exciting projects to share, as well as information and tours of our National Parks. This is a night that you don't want to miss! Dear STA Parent: FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will be conducting the financial need analysis for St. Thomas Aquinas Parish School for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. Families applying for financial aid will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment by March 1. Applicants can apply online by clicking the image above or the FACTS link on our website. Once an online application has been completed online, the following information will need to be sent to FACTS to complete the application process: copies of your most recent Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules and W2 s and copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers Compensation, and TANF. Further information is available on the FACTS application website. THANK YOU - We are so excited to have our library transformed into a travel destination for our imagination. We would also like to thank all of our parents who assisted and volunteered their time to help make this transformation a reality. Update on Snow Days and Make-Up - I wanted to share with parents where we are at with snow days.
