OUR SAVIOR S LUTHERAN CHURCH Pastor Joe Johnson Pastor Siri Strommen Campbell Office: 636-5701; Hours 9am-3pm, M-Fri. Broadcast at 8:30am on KMSR 1520 AM and KMAV 105.5 FM Sunday, September 13, 2015 Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost ELW Setting #4 PRELUDE PROJECT UPDATE Council President, Dave Nelson WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS We extend a special welcome to our visitors and ask that they fill out a Welcome card located in each pew and place it in the offering plate. We pray that you will be blessed and renewed by our worship experience today. HOLY COMMUNION is celebrated today. All are welcome at the Lord s Table. For those who prefer to receive grape juice or gluten free wafers, simply indicate that to the server. We would like everyone to register their communion participation on the Welcome cards in the pew. BRIEF ORDER FOR CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS P In the name of the Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C Amen P God of all mercy and consolation, come to the aid of your people, turning us from our sin to live for you alone. Give us the power of your Holy Spirit that, attentive to your Word, we may confess our sins, receive your forgiveness, and grow into the fullness of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. C Amen P Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another. P Most merciful God, C we confess that we are in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us, and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways, to the glory of your holy name. Amen P In the mercy of almighty God, Jesus Christ was given to die for us, and for his sake God forgives us all our sins. As a called and ordained minister of the Church of Christ, and by his authority, I therefore declare to you the entire forgiveness of all your sins, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. C Amen

OPENING HYMN Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing ELW 807 GREETING P The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. C And also with you. P For the peace of the whole world, for the well-being of the church of God, and for the unity of all, let us pray to the Lord. C Lord, have mercy. P For this holy house, and for all who offer here their worship and praise, let us pray to the Lord. C Lord, have mercy. P Help, save, comfort, and defend us, gracious Lord. C Amen CANTICLE OF PRAISE ELW p. 149 P This is the feast of victory for our God. Alleluia. C Worthy is Christ, the Lamb who was slain, whose blood set us free to be people of God. Power and riches and wisdom and strength, and honor and blessing and glory are his. This is the feast of victory for our God. Alleluia. Sing with all the people of God, and join in the hymn of all creation: Blessing and honor and glory and might be to God and the Lamb forever. Amen. CHILDREN S SERMON SONG for the WORD Lord, Let My Heart Be Good Soil ELW 512 Lord, let my heart be good soil, open to the seed of your word. Lord, let my heart be good soil, where love can grow and peace is understood. When my heart is hard, break the stone away. When my heart is cold, warm it with the day. When my heart is lost, lead me on your way. Lord, let my heart, Lord, let my heart, Lord, let my heart be good soil. READING: REVELATION 22:1-2 SERMON Marked: Tree to Tree HYMN OF THE DAY

APOSTLES CREED ELW p. 105 I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. PASSING OF THE PEACE OFFERING / OFFERTORY ELW 184 Let the vineyards be fruitful, Lord, and fill to the brim our cup of blessing.
