Oaxaca Mission Trip Report THANK YOU NOTES Thank you for your prayers during our last mission trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. The leadership training conference was well received by those who participated. Six pastors attended along with twenty five other leaders. Each pastor was given a Thompson Chain Reference Bible. Because of your generous offering of $950, we were able to provide three meals for the participants and our team. We were blessed with a great translator. In the form of door prizes, we were able to give a study Bible, a bilingual Bible, 2 children s Bibles, several children s Bible story books, 2 children s worship CDs, 5 adult devotionals, and various other Bible study and evangelistic materials. In addition, we were able to donate $280 to the Hogar Children s Home for them to meet the needs of the children where they provide 24 hour care. Our missionaries on the field are convinced that this is a ministry that is needed throughout the state of Oaxaca. They are requesting that we continue to provide training to other groups in the future. Thank you for being a loving and caring church family. Please continue to pray for what the Lord is doing in Oaxaca. Randy & Sharon McManamay Dear College Street Baptist Church Family, Thank you for the love shown to our family at the loss of our mother. We will miss her so! Your cards and notes of encouragement have meant so very much to us. Thank you too for the delicious lunch provided our family and especially your prayers during this difficult time. May God s blessings always be yours as you continue to serve Him. From Ken Ken s Korner Thank You Tim! On Sunday, April 27 th, 6:30 pm we will officially say good-bye to Tim, Christy, Luke and Seth. Tim has accepted the Pastorate of Branchville Baptist Church near Orangeburg, SC. We want to wish them well and send them off in a big way. Tim and his family came to us nearly two years ago and has made many friends along the way. We will miss them and miss seeing their boys grow into young men. We appreciate all they have done for CSBC and look forward to seeing how the Lord will bless them as they follow His Will and purposes in the future. Please come and share in the fellowship that evening! You may want to express your personal love to them in the form of a card or gift of appreciation. See you there! - Ken Reid, Pastor In the mean-time! In the past the church has approved an intern youth position that we fill from time to time. With the Deacons approval and with the youth input we have asked Lauren Beddingfield to join us as a summer youth intern until August 31 st. Lauren is a graduate of North Greenville University, has just finished a one year youth internship in Greer, is a member of CSBC and has now started planning summer events with both our youth and children. We still need your support. I want to thank in advance Shannon Elliott who will represent the children s ministry and Tracy Tichenor who will represent the preschool ministry. The youth have elected three to represent them: Elizabeth Thomas, Bryce King and Hunter Mason. Many parents have already stepped up to volunteer their time and efforts. If you can help in any of these areas, please don t hesitate to let us know. Church Council News.
