YEAR OF MERCY - PARISH MISSION October 17-18 - 19 Led by Father Frank DeSiano, Saint Luke Parish celebrated a special time of blessings and graces this past week for three days, afternoon and evening - hundreds of parishioners and visitors prayed, sang, celebrated Mass, heard sacred scripture and of course listened to the outstanding words of our guest preacher, Father DeSiano. The gift of God s mercy was alive and well at our parish mission. I wish to thank all those who so willingly served during the Mission - Jessica and Loneda for providing song and music; Sisters Theresa and Katherine; Fr. Peter; members of the Parish Pastoral Council and Finance Council; parish Liturgical Ministers; Lisa Scardamaglia and her refreshment committee and the many others who offered their time and talents to make the Mission a grace filled event. BAPTISM PROGRAM When preparing for the Baptism of your child, parents must attend a Pre-Baptism Class. Godparents are welcome and encouraged to attend. The class is held once a month usually on the third Monday night of the month at 7:30pm. The Baptismal Liturgy is usually celebrated on the second and fourth Sunday of the month at 3pm. No Baptism can take place until the church receives a copy of the child s Birth Certificate as required by the diocese. We will leave from St. Luke Church at 8:30am and we will return by 3:00pm. The cost will be $20 and it will be collected that day. The Mass will be in Italian, but with some English as well. Coffee will be provided, but if you wish you are asked to bring your own lunch. There will be time to visit the shrine, pray at the tomb of St. Frances Cabrini, and meet her Sisters.
