TYPICAL DAILY SCHEDULE 8-10am Yoga & meditation 10 am Brunch 11-6pm Time to relax 6-8pm Yoga & meditation 8 pm Dinner Each day will begin with a morning yoga session (1,5 hours) which will focus on exploration of the body. The evening sessions (2 hours) will generally be relaxing and restorative with more in depth pranayama and meditation work.
Brejo Fundejro retreat centre is set in the forested hills of Central Portugal, far away from the crowds, just 3 km from the beautiful Castelo de Bode lake and 8 km from the small town of Cernache de Bonjardim.The centre sits within a small valley surrounded by eucalyptus, pine and cork oak trees and consists of a three storey, one hundred year old manor house, yoga studio, swimming pool, barbecue area, courtyard, small fruit orchard and vegetable garden.
Brejo Fundeiro is a hundred year old manor house which has been lovingly restored with many of the original features preserved. Bedroom 1: 2 single beds Bedroom 2: 2 single beds with Juliet balcony in the en-suite Bedroom 3: 2 single beds with shared Juliet balcony Bedroom 4: 3 single beds with Juliet balcony Bedroom 5: 3 single beds in 2 adjoined rooms with Juliet balcony Bedroom 6: 1 double bed with separate office Bedroom 7: 3 single beds on the ground floor. All bedrooms apart from the ground floor have en-suite bathrooms, with shower, washbasin and toilet. Each room is individually styled with different colour schemes and have features such as wood paneled ceilings, wooden shutters, chandeliers and wood floors on the 1st floor while tiled on the ground floor bedroom and bathroom. The patio area provides a lovely outside space with comfortable armchairs and views over the herb garden, ruins and valley and provides a great vantage point to either watch the sun go down or stare at bright stars. MEDITATION and YOGA STUDIO The old barn with exposed beams has been transformed into a yoga studio which is accessible from the courtyard. Two large glass sliding doors frame views over the pool, Eucalyptus forest and grazing sheep in the valley beyond.
