Just before he left to jon the revolutonsts large shpments of arms to a frend of Madero's were sezed, and t then became known that he was actvely leadng the revolutonsts. A student n the Unversty of Mchgan has just made the rounds of the dfferent places where cgars, tobacco and cgfarettes are sold, and hag found out that students at the unversty last year smoked 132,210 cgars, 33,180 boxes of cgarfettes, 52,000 packages of smokng tobacco, ncludng 30,000 packages of cgarette tobacco; 7,000 packages of cgarette papers and 6,850 cubes of chewng tobacco. class s very small, consstng of about ten men. There are no offcers, and the nstructon s under the supervson of Captan Bookmller. The attendance has been very regular and most of the men take great nterest n the work of the course. A student n the Unversty of Mchgan has just made the rounds of the dfferent places where cgars, tobacco and cgfarettes are sold, and has found out that students at the unversty last year smoked 132,210 cgars, 33,180 boxes of cgarfettes, 52,000 packages of smokng tobacco, ncludng 30,000 packages of cgarette tobacco; 7,000 packages of cgarette papers and 6,850 cubes of chewng tobacco. class s very small, consstng of about ten men. The frst appontments of canddates for the news and busness staff of The Tech takes place wthn the next fortnght, and at present there are a remarkably few number of 1914 men who are takng the usual nterest n ths publcaton. n prevous years the number of Freshmen who reported as canddates for the varous postons on the papel' was extremely large and the men took a sncere nterest n the work. Ths year matters are unfortunately dfferent. What s the trouble? We hestate to accuse ths year's ncomng class of poor sprt and a lack of apprecaton of the opportuntes offered n ths lne. L. Flansburg as soon as possble. The number of new men who attended the meetng was partcularly gratfyng to the older members of the socety, and a vgorous and energetc year's work seems assured. The proposed plans wll gve ample opportunty for all the members of the socety to do a large amount of nterestng and valuable work, ant to become experenced n the less known, but more mportant, scentfc sde of the subject.
