Empty Desk Prayer Initiative more about Jesus. (We ll provide regular updates on the miracles that God is doing at Bayside.) If there is a family or a child who would like to be at our school, we urge them to pray that they can sit at that empty desk. God is a God of miracles and we know that He can make it happen. This past summer we ve been asking God to enlarge our territory by sending more students to Bayside. And we know that He can do just that. However, we can t help but think about those who are still not enrolled in our school. It s a matter of great concern as well it should be if a child, who for whatever reason, is not in our school. This has become the burden of our hearts as we seek to minister to children just as Jesus told us to do. So much is at stake perhaps even the eternal destiny of just one child. This burden is so powerful that we are beginning an Empty Desk Prayer Initiative. We hope that every family in every local Adventist church will join us in praying that Jesus will send just the child that He wants to sit in a desk that stands empty in our classrooms right now. This Empty Desk Prayer Initiative will do the following through the power of the Holy Spirit: Every class will put out an empty desk. That desk will contain the materials and supplies needed to welcome a child to school maybe even some special things for that child. It will be all ready to go! Once a desk is filled, another desk will be put out and we ll repeat the processes again praying for a child who should sit at the empty desk and make sure that it is ready to receive a new student! Keep on praying for those who now sit at the desks in the school that their hearts will be filled with the mighty power of God so that they can claim the promises of God in their lives right now! Why are we doing this? Because we want all the children in our community to come to Jesus. We know that can happen in any one of our classrooms under the guidance and care of our teachers. Is this too much to ask God to do? Definitely not! God is on a mission and He wants us to join Him in reaching His children. We can be sure God wants us to respond quickly and with certainty as we move ever closer to the Kingdom! The teachers and students will kneel and pray for that empty desk every day and ask God to bring them a child who wants to learn more about Jesus. Church members in our local churches will be invited to pray every day for the child who needs to sit in the empty desk at our school. (Please feel free to come to the school and pray at that very desk!)
