Rev. Bogdan Milosz, Pastor 14025 E. Twelve Mile Road Warren, MI 48088 586-772-2720 FAX: 586-772-5576 EMAIL: stfaustina@comcast.net WEB PAGE stfaustina-mi.org Established July 1, 2013 JUNE 3, 2018 THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST OUR MISSION STATEMENT We con nue the work of Jesus Christ and help everyone seek and experience the love and mercy of God. Father Bogdan s Corner Corpus Christi (The Body of Christ) is celebrated in commemoration of the Last Supper before Jesus crucifixion. It is also known as the Holy Eucharist (Communion) that unites people where they come together as one body to remember and celebrate the life and works of Jesus Christ. Through the Sacrament of Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist and if needed the Sacrament of Penance and also through our involvement in the life of the parish family we form Communion The People of God. We may belong to a particular nation, ethnic group, race, or political party but the main identity of all of us is the People of God (In God we Trust) and His Church that is not perfect, because of human element. However, through receiving Holy Communion, the medicine of immortality, and involvement we want to better our Church the Communion, the People of God. So we are constantly in the process and on the move for improvement. We make an effort to better ourselves and also the place we worship God St. Faustina Church and all our property. It will be nice if the parents will bring their children who are graduating this year from different levels and schools to the church for a special Graduation Mass on June 10 th at 11:00 a.m. to express gratitude to God and to the people who brought your children to this stage of their lives. If you need more information, you can contact the Religious Education Office. Many thanks to those who brought flowers and to those who pulled the weeds to help us beautify the campus. Fr. Bogdan Congratulations Fr. Bogdan on your 37 th Anniversary of Ordination. May God grant you many blessings as your celebrate 37 devoted years of faithful service. You are a blessing to St. Faustina Parish.

PAGE 3 Divine Mercy Devotions St. Faustina Church Every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. St. Faustina will be having a Graduation Mass on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. to honor all graduates. If you are graduating this year from high school or college, please contact Sandy Acord at 586-773-9220 or at sandyjacord@gmail.com. Including Exposition, a reading from St. Faustina s Diary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Rosary and a period of silent reflection. Stewardship Thoughts Today s Scripture readings emphasize the old and new covenants. In the Book of Exodus, Moses brings the ancient Israelites to an agreement with God through the sacrificial blood of young bulls. This action prefigures Jesus ultimate sacrifice on the cross for our sins, and the opportunity for eternal salvation. The author of the Letter to the Hebrews contrasts Old Testament sacrifices of goats and calves with the new covenant sealed in the very Blood of Christ. In St. Mark s Gospel, the evangelist tells of Jesus institution of the Eucharist at our Lord s Last Supper. This action begins the new covenant with His disciples and us - a covenant that continues today. As faithful stewards, we believe in Christ s true presence: Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity in Holy Communion. By receiving this tremendous gift, we become what we consume, finding strength to live virtuous and holy lives. As a result, with heart-felt gratitude, we deepen our love for God and neighbor in need. Spend some time with our Lord and Savior through Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction.
