School supplies such as crayons, notebook paper, pencils, pens, composition books, folders, erasers, etc. 2. Small item of NEW clothing, such as a winter hat, gloves, socks, underwear. 3. Small pop-top canned food such as ravioli, tuna, beef stew, fruit, vegetables. 4. At least one NEW, age appropriate, non-breakable toy (no toy weapons please). 5. Hygiene items including toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, washcloth, brush or comb, shampoo, deodorant. 6. Fresh, wrapped, hard candy (no chocolate - it might melt). 7. A copy of The Christmas Story will be included in each backpack. Also, please remember this date: on Saturday, November 21 we will meet to inspect all backpacks to make sure they are ready to share with these children. We will be at the Light & Hope Ministry Center from 9am to 3pm, and all are welcome to join us.
