THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW CHANGES TO TOMORROW S PICNIC THAT YOU MAY WISH TO NOTE Some of our Middlebury Folks have chosen to bless us with their skills, gifts, and talents at this year s picnic. Some of the presentations will include: 1. Big Rob, Bill Caffee, and Stu Davis have agreed to provide entertainment for us by performing karaoke of songs from the 80 s and a few old school break dancing demonstrations. 2. Ed Sturkey has stated that they don t need no karaoke, cuz he wuz gone break out with some Luther. So, he s going to provide us with some Luther. 3. Big Rob has agreed to provide maps to where the mothership actually landed (for $5 each he s got bills to pay, y know). 4. Pastor Jim has decided to share his natural wisdom with us with a short skit entitled, How To Live Off The Land Of Your Backyard Literally. 5. Larry Young and Jim Petticord have agreed to demonstrate advanced calisthenics, emphasizing mad pushup skills followed by a short tutorial entitled, How To Look Amazing While Sweating-And-Fearing-That- You-Are-Going-To-Pass-Out-At-Any- Moment-In-Front-Of-A-Bunch-Of- Teenagers-From-Said-Mad Push- Ups. 6. Diane Popovich has lovingly agreed to demonstrate How To Absolutely Captivate An Audience With Two Loaves, A Chair, and Prayer Shawls. 7. Dan Henry has so graciously agreed to do a short presentation entitled, How To Not Let The Enjoyment Of Breakfast Interfere With The Rest Of The Commitments Of Your Day 8. Iman Taylor has stepped up to the plate to present, Blowing The Shofar With Style and Grace 101. 9. Not one to be left out, Rick Herbert has agreed to hold a mini seminar on How To Leave A Meeting To Answer A Phone Call And Never Come Back. Also, although Teresa will be unable to attend, she has kindly donated copies of her book, A Thousand and One Things To Do With Groundhogs, to the first twenty-five (25) picnic attendees. YOU DON T WANNA MISS OUR MIDDLEBURY PEEPS AT THEIR FINEST!! (DISCLAIMER: All the stuff included above as changes for tomorrow well, there s a good possibility that none of it will actually happen but our picnics are always a blast anyway so please come out and join us!! )

Tithes Received Last Week: $2857 Intercession & Worship Services Friday evenings @ 6 p.m. and Sunday mornings @ 6:30 a.m. ALSO Please consider this your personal invitation to join the Middlebury Chapel Ministry Team!! Our first meeting/training is coming soon (the date is still being determined) and emails will be dispatched alerting those interested in participating to the time and date of our gathering. Our initial foci will be on ministry activations, establishing prayer teams, and operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Although the Ministry Meetings will be announced in the bulletin, if you are interested in joining the Ministry Team, please see Candy to be sure that she has your correct contact information so she will be able to inform you of the time and date of the meetings. If you are interested in the Ministry Team but would like to know more, please see Iman Taylor.

Attention Community Dinner Chefs!! There is a new signup sheet for chefs for the Wednesday Community dinners for June through September. Since the majority of these meals will be occurring outside, we will need people to either volunteer to make a meal that can be easily served outside or be available to work the grill to cook the hamburgers, hot dogs, and sausages. If you are interested in serving in this capacity, please be sure to sign up!! Joy and Candy are in the process of updating the directory, so if you have moved recently or any of your contact information (phone number, email address, etc.) has changed, please check with them to confirm that the information we have on file for your household is accurate. Thank you so much for your help!!

Due to the 4 th of July holiday, the next Men s Prayer Breakfast will be held Saturday, August 1st FYI Tithes, offerings, donations, and payments are now able to be made securely online via our website through PayPal. Please visit www.mc-akron.org and click on the Please click here to donate link:

The new Ushers Schedule is posted and is available on our website by clicking here. HELP NEEDED TO MINISTER TO OUR LITTLE ONES!! Jim Petticord needs your help during Wednesday Night Kids Club. A person is needed to welcome the Kids Club members, oversee the sign-in sheet, and issue nametags and treats to the children. Other people are needed to supervise the youngsters during the actual class time. If 4 or 5 people would volunteer to help supervise once a month, that would really take the pressure off Jim and allow him to do what he does best teach and minister to the little ones in our Middlebury neighborhood. If you are willing to help, please contact Jim P. ASAP. Middlebury Chapel Kids Club Wednesday evenings 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

We are currently looking for a sincere and compassionate person to take over the greeting card ministry. The purpose of this ministry is to send cards or notes of encouragement and/or make phone calls to members of the body who are sick, shut-in, or who just haven t attended Middlebury in a while. If you are interested in this ministry or would like to know more about this position, please contact Gary Olson or Candy P.

Something to Ponder THE WORLD IS TOO MUCH WITH YOU, MY CHILD. Your mind leaps from problem to problem to problem, tangling your thoughts in anxious knots. When you think like that, you leave Me out of your world-view and your mind becomes darkened. Though I yearn to help, I will not violate your freedom. I stand silently in the background of your mind, waiting for you to remember that I am with you. When you turn from your problems to My Presence, your load is immediately lighter. Circumstances may not have changed, but we carry your burdens together. Your compulsion to fix everything gives way to a deep, satisfying connection with Me. Together we can handle whatever this day brings. Isaiah 41:10; Zephaniah 3:17; Psalm 14:19 - from Jesus Calling Enjoying Peace in His Presence by Sarah Young

Let's Keep The Momentum!! Hey, Girls!! The first meeting was so awesome that we re meeting again next Saturday, July 9th, at 9:00 a.m. for breakfast and a swim!! We ll be at Martha's house again, 2755 E. Waterloo Rd. 44312, at 9:00 a.m. and please bring a yummy breakfast item to share. We'll provide turkey sausage, eggs and beverages. Come out and join us for fun and fellowship and don't forget your swimsuit and your sunscreen!! Looking forward to seeing you girls next Saturday!!!!
