Being Organized Have you ever had to set waiting for a friend to ramble through their pack looking for some little item they couldn t remember where they stored it. See you in the wind. My Harley tour pack has seven compartments in it. I made me an outline so I would know here to find everything. After a couple of trips, I became familiar with this plan, as long as I placed items back in their right compartment. When packing your gear, be sure heavy items are packed in the bottom of saddlebags or tour Pack. It s all about center of gravity. That s why some Harleys are more stable than others on the road. Top heavy bikes are very unstable, especially if you go airborne, and if you ride hard and far enough it will happen. Pack your clothes according to climates you will be riding through. Roll a complete outfit up tight; secure them with a large rubber band. This will remove air pockets and allow much more room for other items. I left my cell phone home once, can you picture having three hundred contacts in a cell, and you left the cell home. I called home had my wife to FEDX it over night to a motel in Atlanta. From that event I learned to make a check list, before leaving lodging double check it. When turning in for the night place important items in your helmet, along with you key. You know the Bible teaches us to be orderly. God told Hezekiah to set his house in order. 2Ki 20:1. In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live. You know even a baby chick has enough air inside the egg shell to peck its way out. We humans have been given time to set our house (life) in order. How does one prepare?
