THE ABYWEST COMMUNITY CENTER IS COMING ALIVE! As we continue fundraising to meet our $12 million goal to complete AbyWest, we would like to share preliminary renderings of the Community Center s Reception Area and Fellowship Hall. We envision a space where members can gather and fellowship before and after worship services, and it would also function as a Hall for special occasions and events. We urge you to continue supporting this effort, and remain diligent and prayerful as we strive to reach our goal.

Then, take time to center yourself before reading the entire chapter where the answers are found. When Jesus was asked which of all the commandments was most important, he named two. What were they? [Mark 12:28-34] Who was the woman that heard of Solomon s fame and went to Jerusalem to visit him? [1 Kings 10:1-10] This man was converted to Christianity through Philip s witness [Acts 8:26-40] Who was the Midianite wife of Moses? MINISTRY HEALTH & WELLNESS Abyssinian s "Let" Knit Together and Crochet" Group meets every Saturday, except holidays from 10:00 am -Noon. Do you want to learn to knit or crochet? Join the Health Ministry for an unforgettable learning experience. Everyone can learn this skill that is both relaxing, and enjoyable. All ages welcomed. The Lenten Season fast approaches. Many Abyssinians will be participating in the annual observance of Lent, and it is important that you prepare yourself for the journey. Now is the time to begin reducing intake of sugars, caffeine, meat, candy, desserts, white potatoes, and white flour. Making this reduction now will make it easier to transition to a dietary regimen that is healthy, nourishing, and with few adverse reactions to the elimination of artificial stimulants. As each person needs to act according to their specific dietary needs, and medical condition, you must plan your food intake with care and common sense. Initiate a conversation with your doctor before making changing the dietary regimen prescribed to you, and do not stop taking your medications. The Health Ministry will have food and recipe conversations each Tuesday evening during Lenten Season.
