RECALL NOTICE: The Maker of all human beings (GOD) is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart. This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect has been identified as "Subsequential Internal Non-morality," more commonly known as S.I.N., as it is primarily expressed. Some of the symptoms include: 1. Loss of direction 2. Foul vocal emissions 3. Amnesia of origin 4. Lack of peace and joy 5. Selfish or violent behavior 6. Depression or confusion 7. Fearfulness 8. Idolatry 9. Rebellion The Manufacturer, who is neither liable nor at fault for this defect, is providing factory-authorized repair and service free of charge to correct this defect. The Repair Technician, JESUS, has most generously offered to bear the entire burden of the staggering cost of these repairs. There is no additional fee required. The number to call for repair in all areas is: P-R-A-Y-E-R. Once connected, please upload your burden of SIN through the REPENTANCE procedure. Next, download ATONEMENT from the Repair Technician, Jesus, into the heart component. No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, Jesus will replace it with: 1. Love 2. Joy 3. Peace 4. Patience 5. Kindness 6. Goodness 7. Faithfulness 8. Gentleness 9. Self-control Please see the operating manual, the B.I.B.L.E. (BEST Instructions Before Leaving Earth) for further details on the use of these fixes. WARNING: Continuing to operate the human being unit without correction voids any manufacturer warranties, exposing the unit to dangers and problems too numerous to list, and will result in the human unit being permanently impounded. For free emergency service, call on Jesus. DANGER: The human being units not responding to this recall action will have to be scrapped in the furnace. The SIN defect will not be permitted to enter Heaven so as to prevent contamination of that facility. Thank you for your attention! - GOD P.S. Please assist where possible by notifying others of this important recall notice, and you may contact the Father any time by 'Knee mail'! Because HE Lives! Jean Brocker We recently had the Carilion repaired due to a cut wire. As you can see, the Carilion is between 40-50 feet. We contacted John Stoss of JS Landscraping for an estimate. He gave us a fantastic price to use his cherry picker. John saved our church a lot of money. As a thank you, I would like to recommend calling John the next time you might need an estimate for some landscaping or tree work. His phone number is 414-406-9637. There are business cards on the information table in the Narthex. submitted by Beth Petersen

2 nd Annual Scholastic Book Sale November 25, 26 and 27 and December 2, 3 and 4 THE PARABLE OF THE NET Matthew 13:47-50 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net which was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind; when it was full, men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into vessels but threw away the bad. So it will be at the close of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous, and throw them into the furnace of fire; there men will weep and gnash their teeth. Copied from the History of the First Congregational Church 1857-2007 We have been asked to provide and serve cookies, bars and cider for the Celebration of Music, November 20 th. Please look for the sign-up sheet on the table in the Narthex. We are filling a Christmas Shoebox for a girl 5-9 years old this year. The Christmas Card Bags were well received last year. November 27 th we will be putting out ten (10) bags for our church shut ins. We have Christmas cards for you to use, look for them on the table in the Narthex. Please take 10 cards and sign them and put them into the bags. The bags will be delivered at our Dec. 20 th meeting. NO SMALL GIFTS, JUST CARDS PLEASE. Bring a sandwich and join us as we plan the Christmas Bake Sale (December 11 th after church), at our November 15 th 12:30 pm meeting. All ladies who attend church are welcome. Take a moment to remember our Congregational beginnings in our country and why we celebrate Thanksgiving. We wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! submitted by Bonnie Geiser The second Scholastic Book Sale will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the last week of November and the first week of December. Last year was the first time we held a book sale and we successfully sold enough books to earn $550.00 for the church budget. This year we have the opportunity to increase those earnings. The Book Sale will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and noon until 5:00 pm on Sunday. It will be held at the east end of Koeffler Hall. It will not interfere with Front Porch on either Sunday. We have asked for an increased selection of Christian books (child and adult), cookbooks, and some other adult materials. It will also be possible to have your friends and family members order online and have the order shipped to our church in time for our fair. The address will be included in the announcement page when the on-line fair opens. This also enables you to shop every book available in the scholastic inventory. Sign-up sheets are in the narthex to help during the fair. Help is also needed prior to Thanksgiving in setting up. Thanks in advance for your help and support. Annual Budget and Election Meeting Nov. 6 The Annual Meeting for the purpose of passing the 2017 budget and election of officers and Directors for terms beginning January 1 will be held on November 6 following worship. Handouts with the minutes of the previous Congregational Meeting, proposed budget, nominations committee report and other business are available in the narthex. We will also be electing a member to the auditing committee. Nominees for election to church officers are: Moderator-elect Rae-Ellen Preuss Secretary Joanne Himebauch Directors Jim Schuett Debbie Maske Prakash Mathew Continuing in office are: Moderator Diane Williams Treasurer Jean Broker Director Linda Haeger Sue Roberts T. J. Tritz

Missions Moments Thanksgiving is of course a time when we reflect on all our blessings and what we are most thankful for. First Congregational Church is such a blessing to so many with the love and gifts that we pour out to them. The Missions Team is so very thankful of your continued support and participation. Happy Thanksgiving and thank you all! Our Thanksgiving Offering this year will be going to our local Salvation Army. And speaking of the Salvation Army, we are also going to be ringing the bells for them on Saturday, December 3 rd from 8-2. That s Midnight Magic weekend in Mukwonago, and it s always kind of a fun and festive time around town. Look for the signup sheet on the table in the Narthex. We ll break it down into 1 hour shifts, but if you or a group of you would like to get together and do 1 ½ hours or more, feel free to sign up. Maybe a group of FCC singers??? Or just a group who d like to get together and have fun ringing the bells together? We are in the midst of collecting our Shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan s Purse. We will have a blessing on the shoeboxes on Sunday, November 13, and they will be delivered during that week to a drop off location. They will then be distributed to several locations around the world. The boxes this year could be delivered to Tanzania, Zambia, Madagascar, Zimbabwe or Namibia. This past month, through the Missions Fund, we have donated monies to: Wycliffe Bible Translators -- $200 Fisher House Milwaukee -- $200 NACCC One Great Hour of Sharing for Hurricane Matthew relief efforts for children in Haiti through Love Worth Sharing. $200 We have assembled a wine and pasta basket to be auctioned off for the Hope Center s Annual Thanksgiving Dinner and Auction being held on November 17 at the Country Springs Hotel in Pewaukee. We ll report later on how much our basket brings them. Hopefully lots! Lastly, we want to let you know that we will be doing an adopt-a-family for Christmas this year, and the family is in our midst. We ll let you know all about it on Sunday, November 20. Watch for details! Backpack Program The Backpack Program started the new school year with our first delivery on October 14. As in the past, we will be laying out cards on the information table for you to pick up and purchase food items. Please bring the food that you purchased to church by the date shown on the card. This year we have three families that we will be supplying food items to every Friday until the end of the school year. The money that has been donated for the Backpack Program is used for food items that are not purchased from the cards on the information table. Thank you everyone for making this one of the most vital outreaches our church is doing. Please remember these families in your prayers. They are going through some rough times and they can use all the prayers that we have. Again thank you so much for your continued generosity.
