This morning we worship with Paul Loewen. Paul Loewen lives in Winnipeg with his wife, Jeanette, and their three boys. He served as the youth pastor for Douglas Mennonite Church for ten years. Last year, he and his family traveled to live in Vancouver for 8 months while attending Regent College. He loves learning, being active, and spending time with people. If you want to get him excited and talking, pick a topic: theology, the future, or Elon Musk. All three will work. All are welcome! Looking ahead to next Sunday - September 9 Worship with Mel Letkeman - Communion and Anointing All are welcome for coffee & cinnamon buns hosted by the Grace staff following the worship service. 11:15 am - Formation Summer Worship at Grace Children s church will resume Sunday, September 9. Please see the table located at the back of the sanctuary for quiet bags for your children to use during the worship service. September 16 Worship with Kyle Penner All are welcome for a Finger Food Potluck lunch. Please bring one plate of finger food (sandwiches, veggies, cookies or cake). Beverages will be provided. Jon Barkman who is in Bethesda Hospital. Herb & Betty Koop as Betty begins chemo treatments for Non-Hodgkin s Lymphoma. Elmer & Shirley Joy as they recover at home from recent health issues. John Neufeld who is in Bethesda Hospital. Our condolences go out to Henry Sawatsky on the passing of his wife, Lorraine Sawatsky, on August 24. The funeral for Lorraine was held on August 30. We pray for family and friends to find comfort in the memories you share of Lorraine.

Opportunities at Grace September 9 - Family Wiener Roast Wiener Roast at the A-Maze-in-Corn! Please meet there at 4 pm. Bring salad or dessert. We ll provide drinks and hot dogs. All families with children are welcome! Cost: 3 and under free, 4-12 years $10, 13+ is $12. September 13 - Middle School Youth (Grades 5-8) 7:00-8:30 pm - You re invited to Kyle s house (54 Clearwater Ave) for a bonfire! We will take time during a Worship Service in the Fall to welcome anyone who would like Formal Membership here at Grace. This year the ride will happen on Sept 29th in Winnipeg. MC Canada is one of those approved organizations and we would like to gather a team of bikers to raise money for Mike and Cheryl Nimz work in the UK. To help with the Children s Feature during worship, we now have puppets! The plan is to put on a puppet show every few weeks for the kids. If you d like to help out with one of the puppet shows throughout the year, please let Kyle know. Interested in being part of Small Groups at Grace? Here at Grace we have close to 100 people who are part of a Small Group, usually 8-10 people, who meet monthly. It s a good way to create new relationships or build on old ones, getting to know other Gracers in a smaller setting. If you might be interested in being part of a group, or would like to know more about them, be in touch with Mel or the office. Please consider serving as an MDS volunteer as there is an urgent need at this time. Pray for volunteers and organizers of MDS as well as those suffering from so many disasters.
