The Monthly Newsletter of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church July, 2016 Volume 13 Issue 7 THEME: Speaking the Truth in Love Ephesians 4:15...but speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head - Christ

From the Pastor... Grace The grace of God is truly amazing! Normally when we talk about the grace of God it is in the context of salvation. However, we should never forget that grace could be experienced at three levels. The first level is Common Grace. God s common grace is experienced both by the saved and unsaved. In other words, it rains upon the just and the unjust. This is why at times the unsaved seem to prosper at a level above that of the saved. But this material prosperity is only temporal. So, you see everyone can experience common grace. Because common grace is God loving and caring for His creation. The second level of grace can be called Saving Grace. This is God s salvation, and it is provided by God through the blood of Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. The only persons who experience saving grace are the ones who trust Christ for it. Finally, the third level of grace is called Living Grace. This is grace provided by the Holy Spirit so that the Christian can live by the power and grace of God day by day. This is the kind of grace Paul experienced in II Corinthians, chapter 12, when Jesus said, My grace is sufficient. Brothers and sisters the second and third levels should be our goals. When we have Saving Grace and Living Grace, we have all we need. Page 2 Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed. ~Isaac Watts

MINISTERS WIVES MISSION PROJECT Little Dresses for Africa, founded in 2008 by Rachel O Neill is a registered non-profit 501c3 Christian organization whose mission is to provide relief to vulnerable children throughout the continent of Africa and beyond. Volunteers from all over the world join together to make little dresses out of pillow cases or other simple patterns. Some sew. Some donate. Some go to Africa, and some send others. Little Dresses for Africa sends the donated dresses through mission teams, mails them directly to verified communities and takes them personally with their short term teams. Although clothing is desperately needed, these little dresses are so much more. They go as little Ambassadors into the homes and villages where we are able to teach simple lessons, provide clean water, and sanitation and to promote good health and family skills knowledge. As relationships are formed other needs are identified, that can be met through the generosity of others. The Ministers Wives ministry along with other gracious volunteers made dresses in support of this worthwhile global effort. Donations are distributed through orphanages, churches, and schools and provide much needed relief to the children of Africa. Page 4 Pa

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT Music Ministry We Love To Sing Your Praise The Bible makes it plain that every good gift comes from God (James 1:17). Music-making is one of God s gifts that has been given to man and angels (Genesis 4:21; Job 38:7). One purpose of music and singing is to rejoice and worship the Lord as His plan of salvation is proclaimed (Psalm 95:1-2). The choirs of Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church sing praises with an understanding of the Word and thanksgiving in such a powerful way, that it stirs hearts and emotions. Singing unifies the congregation, ushering in the atmosphere for the people to reach their fullest potential musically and spiritually while lifting up the Lord. If your call is a desire to be part of this worship experience, please consider contacting one of the coordinators listed below for rehearsal days and time. BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT Green Builders and Construction & Engineering Design A home is the biggest investment that many families will ever make, so they don't want just anyone to work on their home. They are knowledgeable in the field of construction and have access to high-quality products and tools to make sure your project is done correctly.
