At Holy Cross Parish in Youngwood, Father William C. McGuirk and his parishioners received more than $40,000 from the Diocesan Lenten Appeal last year. They used it to renovate the social hall and remodel the kitchen, making a more pleasant gathering space for the parish community. The kitchen was basically collapsing, and the cabinets were falling off the walls. The DLA is our only parish fundraiser, and we were tickled to raise enough to totally renovate the social hall kitchen and also update our wheelchair ramps so all can enjoy it. -Father William C. McGuirk Watch the video featuring Father McGuirk and Holy Cross Parish at dioceseofgreensburg.org/hope
