PRAYER CORNER The tragedy of the Passion brings to fulfilment our own life and the whole of human history...it means contemplating the mystery of Jesus Christ as something which continues to work in our souls... Here is our chance to react against our weaknesses with an act of faith. We can trust in God and resolve to put love into the things we do each day. ~St. Josemaria Escriva Many days of Lent are now behind us. Perhaps you failed to live up to your expectations of a "good Lent." Resolve now to begin again to sacrifice, fast, and give alms this Holy Week, determined to put love into everything you do, bringing you closer into the mystery of the Passion.

FROM FR. JOE Today marks the beginning of the holiest time of the year. It prepares us for the of s, Easter. At the center of this week's great events is Jesus, the pride of the human race. He is the New Adam! Unlike our first parents, Jesus trusted his heavenly Father and was obedient. In fact, in order to restore what was destroyed by the First Adam, he was asked to be obedient even unto death, death on a cross. In short, he was asked to satisfy the Divine Justice and open the gates of Divine Mercy. He accepted this great calling, this high vocation, and thus became High Priest for all of humanity. In order to participate in his victory, in order to be set free from the life of the First Adam, the life that leads to death, we too are given a high calling, a call to live in Christ, a life which leads to eternal life. All of Lent was an intense season of preparation, of dying to our old life so as to receive the freedom to live in Christ. May this season of Easter be a time of new life for us. May we experience the joy of the freedom of the children of God. May we experience the power of Divine Mercy and generously share it with others. ~Fr.
