Page 4 From The Heart I have come to believe that we are all in a story whose main theme is love. But not just any kind of love. The kind of love that is at the center of this story is a love which is able to continually surprise us. We are not just loved. We are loved more than we could possibly ever imagine. And the more we come understand the nature and depth of the love at the center of God, the more shocked we are to realize that this same, exact kind of love is to be at the center of us as well. Jesus teaches us to love our neighbor in the way the we would wish to be loved. I wish to be loved without reservation or limit, which means I am to love my neighbor without reservation or limit. But my neighbor is often not that loveable. I m often not that loveable! So, what do we do? I think the only thing we can do is walk a road called grace together with as much faith, and hope and love as we can. What I have always loved about this church is that in my life it has been the place where I have been invited to go on that journey with friends, with brothers and sisters, who are every bit as quirky and in process as I am. In this church I have never been encouraged to pretend to be perfect, but I have always been encouraged to take the next step in my spiritual growth. It has been a humbling and rewarding journey, and I want to keep going down this path together. Onward and Upward! Your Pastor, Dr. D Joined the church Sunday, May 14, 2017. Please make them feel welcome. MAY - WASHCLOTHS, SOAP, TOOTHBRUSHES (w/ case or cap) "I absolutely loved the washcloth. As an orphan I had to share a towel with about 20 kids - so when I got the washcloth I actually thought it was my own personal towel." Vladimir, Russia "The toothbrush meant a lot because before I had to share my toothbrush with 25 other girls." - Yuri, Honduras
