St. Kilian Catholic Church Page 7 Parishes in Collaboration This weekend, May 21-22, 2016, all people of the Diocese of Orange will have the opportunity to donate to the Parishes in Collaboration Collection. This collection is for the purpose of assisting parishes in the Diocese of Orange that exhibit ongoing needs that cannot be paid for by their ordinary income or have urgent needs (such as repairs and maintenance). All money donated to this collection is put into a restricted fund that will be administered by a group consisting of laity and clergy of the diocese. Parishes with needs as stated above will apply for grants from this fund to be used for their specific needs. Most recently the committee has focused the grants to safety issues including emergency electrical and plumbing repairs. By participating in the Parishes in Collaboration Collection, all people of the Diocese of Orange are helping one another support the works of our parishes that struggle financially. Page 8 The Most Holy Trinity Religious Education Prayers and Appreciation As we come to the close of another year of Religious Education classes, we would like to thank all who worked with our children this year to continue to develop their faith formation. Our RE Staff, Catechists and Volunteers know that working with our children is a privilege that we don t take lightly. Everything we do is in support of what our parents and families do every day in their homes. Your prayers, blessings, use of other sacramentals, weekly Mass attendance with your child and the conversations you share with your child about God and Jesus are very critical to forming your child s faith as a Catholic Christian. Although our RE program is coming to a close, religious formation in the home knows no season. Your child s faith will continue to grow strong through these summer months in your family prayer, play and service to others. Enjoy all the blessings of the season and we ll see you again soon! It was wonderful to have so many children and families participate in this annual tradition to honor Mary. We especially appreciate the lovely crown of roses that was hand-made by parishioner and mom, Gina Waters. Magda Loreto and Francis Ramos were chosen from several other children to crown Mary because of their perfect attendance during RE this year. We were so pleased that many of our parishioners attended this special event and we look forward to seeing everyone next year as we continue this time-honored tradition. STOP BY and SAY HI! We celebrated each day during our last week with prayers, games, crafts, Mass and gratitude!
