On this day, April 14, in 2014, 276 female students were kidnapped by Boko Haram ( Western education is forbidden ) in Chibok, Nigeria. Over 100 remain missing. The candle shines each Sunday reminding each of us to take seriously the gospel of peace. Ushers Coordinator Greeting people at our sanctuary doors and helping them find comfortable places in our worship space, as our ushers do, is an act of welcome and hospitality. Coordinating and supporting these ushers is therefore a vital welcoming task as well. The Worship Commission is looking for persons to serve as coordinators for these ushers for periods of six months or less. If you are willing to be a coordinator, contact Eric Zehr. Deaths Barbara Lehman of Orrville, Ohio, sister of Sam Troyer, died last week on April 4. Sam s brother, Perry Troyer of Townville, Pa., died on April 8. Vacation Bible School 2019: Upside-Down Mission VBS Dates are June 10-14 from 9 a.m. to noon. Assembly, Berkey Avenue, Eighth Street, College, and Faith Mennonite churches are joining once again for Summer Bible School at College Mennonite Church.
