Projects Taking Place at First Baptist Church Matthew 25 House Food Collection Team Leader: Betty Jo Prevatte, 642-7321 Bring your food to the church by Saturday to be boxed for pick-up. Items needed: Cleaning supplies, Peanut butter crackers, Drink mixes, Debbie cakes, Individual serving juices cans or boxes, instant grits/oatmeal. Nursery at Columbus Regional Hospital / Infant Kits Team Leader: Knit Wits & Myrtie Sellers and Marie Sellers Prepare infant kits with receiving blankets and hand-knitted caps for the nursery at our hospital. Children s Ministry 9:00 a.m. Team Leaders: Taylor Jordan, 770-2430, Jenny Clore, 540-760-7253, Holly Faulk, 770-1235 Shoreland Nursing Home. The children will be planting new planters with vegetables and visiting with residents who enjoy gardening. Child Care Ministry (thru age 3) 8:00 Nursery Team Leader: Peggy Norosky, 642-9700 Load A Truck - Red Springs Mission Camp Team Leader: Glenn Waters, 640-2154, John Sauls, 207-7992, Mitchell Sauls, 212-0417 Used Furniture, stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, microwaves, tables, chairs, beds, mattresses, dishes, curtains, bed linens, lamps, any household item, building materials, personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, paper products and garden/yard tools. NO CLOTHING Deliver to church no later than 10:30 am on April 19th or call the church office if you need items picked up. Financial Support Ministry Team Leader: Myrtle Corbett, 642-5213 We will need financial support to fund materials for some projects, including wheel chair ramp(s), stoop, steps, handrails, etc. We need those willing to give as well as those willing to do hands-on work. Soup Kitchen Ministry 9:00 - Fellowship Hall Team Leaders: Martha Senter, 642-4436, and Betty Jo Prevatte, 642-7321 Our WMU groups will prepare lunch to be served to all OIAM workers, all local 911 personnel, Meals on Wheels, Madison Hill residents, shut-ins and any needy person who comes. Prayer Team Team Leader: Frances Price, 642-4274 A prayer room for volunteers to have a time of prayer for projects and other concerns. Fidget Blankets Team Leaders: Mary Alice Stanley, 642-9028 We will give blankets with various fidget items to keep the hands busy to Alzheimer s patients. Laundromat Ministry Team Leader: Hilda Ray, 642-4369, Merle Worley, 840-7399 Quarters will be given to laundromat patrons to use for their laundry as a witnessing tool. Saving Sons, Inc. Additional Ministry Projects We invite Sunday School classes and individuals to suggest additional ministry projects to the Missions Committee.
