We acknowledge and pay our respect to their elders past, present and emerging.

Heaven's Grocery Store I was walking down life's highway a long time ago. One day I saw a sign that read `Heaven Grocery Store'. As I got a little closer, the door came wide open, And when I came to myself, I was standing inside. I saw a host of angels. They were standing everywhere. One handed me a basket and said, "My child, shop with care." Everything a Christian needed was in the Grocery Store. And if you couldn't carry them, you could come back for more. First I got some PATIENCE. LOVE was in the same row. Further down was UNDERSTAND- ING, you need that wherever you go. I got a box of WISDOM, a bag or two of FAITH. I couldn't miss the Holy Ghost, for He was all over the place. I stopped to get some STRENGTH and COURAGE to help me win the race And though my basket was getting full, I remembered to get some GRACE. I didn't forget SALVATION, for salvation, that was free. So, I tried to get enough of that to save both you and me. Then I started up the counter to pay the grocery bill, for I thought I had everything to do my Master's will. As I went up the aisle, I saw PRAYER and I just had to put that in, For I knew when I stepped outside, I would run into SIN. PEACE and JOY were plentiful, they were on the last shelf. SONG and PRAISES were hanging near so I just helped myself. Then I said to the Angel, "Now how much do I owe?" He just smiled and said, "Just take them every where you go!" Again I smiled at him and said, "How much do I really owe?" The Angel smiled again and said, "My child, Jesus paid your bill a long, long time ago." Hey kids! A special invitation to our 5.30pm service on Christmas Eve, come dressed up as part of the Christmas story Mary, Joseph, Shepherds, Angles, Stars or Wise Men. Parish Christmas Party Come everyone! Christ the King 25 th November, 2018 Sentence Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honour and glory and blessing. Revelation 5.12 Collect Everlasting God, whose will is to restore all things in your well-beloved Son, our Lord and King: grant that the people of earth, now divided and enslaved by sin, may be freed and brought together under his gentle and loving rule; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. Diocesan Prayer God in whom we live and move and have our being, we thank you for Jesus Christ who is the good news. By the power of your Holy Spirit, enable us to be people who transform lives, make disciples and grow communities, that your glory may be revealed in all creation. We pray this through your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen First Reading Daniel 7.9-10, 13-14 9 As I watched, thrones were set in place, and an Ancient One took his throne; his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, and its wheels were burning fire. 10 A stream of fire issued and flowed out from his presence. A thousand thousand served him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood attending him. The court sat in judgement, and the books were opened. 13 As I watched in the night visions, I saw one like a human being coming with the clouds of heaven. And he came to the Ancient One and was presented before him. 14 To him was given dominion and glory and kingship, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him.

His dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not pass away, and his kingship is one that shall never be destroyed. Hear the word of the Lord, Thanks be to God. Psalm: 93 1 The Lord is king, and has put on robes of glory: the Lord has put on his glory, he has girded himself with strength. 2 He has made the world so firm: that it cannot be moved. 3 Your throne is established from of old: you are from everlasting. 4 The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice: the floods lift up their pounding. 5 But mightier than the sound of many waters, than the mighty waters or the breakers of the sea: the Lord on high is mighty. 6 Your decrees are very sure: and holiness, O Lord, adorns your house for ever. Second Reading Revelation 1.4b-8 4 John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and made us to be a kingdom, priests serving his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7 Look! He is coming with the clouds; every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and on his account all the tribes of the earth will wail. So it is to be. Amen. 8 I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. Hear the word of the Lord, Thanks be to God. Gospel John 18.33-37 The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Glory to you Lord Jesus Christ. 33 Then Pilate entered the headquarters again, summoned Jesus, and asked him, Are you the King of the Jews? 34 Jesus answered, Do you ask this on your own, or did others tell you about me? Cont. Over page

From previous page 35 Pilate replied, I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests have handed you over to me. What have you done? 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not from this world. If my kingdom were from this world, my followers would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here. 37 Pilate asked him, So you are a king? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. For this I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice. This is the Gospel of the Lord, Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ. Intercessions: Please pray for; Ted Mills, Jim Sullivan, Di Phelps, David Scofield, Del Vogt, Margaret Bowdon, June Codrington and Roy (Bonalbo,) Lorna & Barry.
