Coming Events & Special Notes THIS WEEK Mission Circles All ladies are invited to join our mission circles for their meeting on Tuesday, February 14th, at 6p in the Builder s room. This is a Whitecross work night, so please bring your scissors and a snack to share. Also, please bring a gift or gift cards for our scholarship students. Seeking God s Vision Everyone is encouraged to attend our final Church Vision session on Saturday, February 18th from 9a to about 3p (lunch will be provided) in the lower auditorium. We will focus on discerning God s vision for our church. Pancake Fundraiser Enjoy a nice country drive and an amazing breakfast all for a good cause. Brushy Fork Baptist Church is holding a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, February 18th from 7:30a - 10a. They ll serve pancakes, bacon, sausage and gravy, biscuits, eggs, coffee, and orange juice. Freewill donations will go to Life Choices Clinic. If you plan to go, please RSVP 812-839-3430. COMING SOON Community Concert The Madison Performing Arts Foundation are pleased to present a concert of student musicians who have excelled in regional contests. The free program will be presented at The Madison Presbyterian Church at 4p on Sunday, February 26th. COMING IN JUNE Community VBS Mark your calendars! Community VBS will be Monday, June 19th through Thursday, June 22nd from 6p-8:15p each night at North Madison Christian Church. Our theme will be Maker Fun Factory! Registration opens April 1st. Opportunities & Reminders GIVING & SERVING OPPORTUNITIES DUE TODAY! Sanctity of Life You can help reach our community, save the lives of the unborn, and minister to new parents by donating to our Sanctity of Life offering. Proceeds will be split between Second Stories and Life Choices. To give, please designate envelopes Sanctity of Life. Homework Helpers Want to help a child? Come form a friendship with a K-4th grader at Lydia Middleton! Helping them complete homework encourages confidence and also relieves stress at home. There is a great need for younger children to learn sight words and older ones to learn multiplication tables. Homework Helpers meets from 2:45p-3:30p on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Any help is welcome! If you d like to help, please sign up in the lower auditorium or call Nancy Totten at 812-701-3708. Funeral Meal Helpers The Deaconesses prepare funeral meals as the need arises. From time to time they need extra help. They re putting together a list of volunteers willing to help should they need extra assistance. You can help by providing food or assisting with setting up, serving, and cleaning up. If you d like to help, please write Funeral Meals on your communication card or sign up in the lower auditorium. REMINDERS & NOTICES Newsletter Deadline If you re involved in a ministry with First Baptist, you can encourage our church family by sharing a brief activity update, photos, and/or a story for our newsletter. Guidelines are available outside our church office. Submissions for next month s newsletter due Thursday, February 16th. Send submission to india@madisonfbc.org or turn in at the office. College Scholarships Forms and guidelines for the American Baptist Women s State and the Madison Association scholarships are available in the lower auditorium. The state scholarship is due February 15th! Church Directory Problems? As noted in the back of our church photo directories, we plan to re-publish directories at least once per year. If your information wasn t included in the directory, or if you have any corrections, additions, or changes to make, or would like to submit a new photo, please contact the office at 812-265-2331 or india@madisonfbc.org so those changes can be made for the next directory. Bulletin announcements are due the Thursday before the Sunday you d like it printed. Guidelines for writing one are available outside our office.
