Exodus 10:8,9 And Moses and Aaron were brought again to Pharaoh: and he said to them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go? And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast to the LORD. Exodus 10:10,11 But he said to them, The Lord be with you, if ever I let you and your little ones go! Look, you have some evil purpose in mind. No! Go, the men among you, and serve the Lord, for that is what you are asking. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence. Exodus 10:20-23 But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go. And the LORD said to Moses, Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days: They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings. Exodus 11:3 And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people. Exodus 11:4-7 So Moses said, Thus says the Lord: About midnight I will go out in the midst of Egypt, and every firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the slave girl who is behind the handmill, and all the firstborn of the cattle. There shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there has never been, nor ever will be again. But not a dog shall growl against any of the people of Israel, either man or beast, that you may know that the Lord makes a distinction between Egypt and Israel. Exodus 11:8 And all these your servants shall come down to me, and bow down themselves to me, saying, Get you out, and all the people that follow you and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger. Exodus 12:1-3 And the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying, This month shall be to you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. Speak you to all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: Exodus 12:7-8 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper doorpost of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I shall 2

pass over you, and let the plague not come on you to destroy you when I smite the land of Mitsrayim. Exodus 12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and you shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever. Exodus 12:29,30 And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. Exodus 13:3-5a Then Moses said to the people, Remember this day in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of slavery, for by a strong hand the Lord brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten. Today, in the month of Abib, you are going out. And when the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites, Luke 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and broke it, and gave to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Jeremiah 46:1 The word of the LORD which came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations. Jeremiah 46:25-28 The LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: Behold, I will punish Amon of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with her gods, and her kings; even Pharaoh, and those who trust in him: and I will deliver them into the hand of those who seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants; and afterwards it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, says the LORD. But don t you be afraid, Jacob my servant, neither be dismayed, Israel: for, behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be quiet and at ease, and none shall make him afraid. Don t you be afraid, O Jacob my servant, says the LORD; for I am with you: for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you; but I will not make a full end of you, but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished. The Kingdom of God Having Light in your Dwelling Romans 1:21,22 Because, knowing God, they didn t glorify him as God, neither gave thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, John 3:19 This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. 3

John 8:12 Again, therefore, Yeshua spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life. 1 John 2:9-11 He who says he is in the light and hates his brother, is in the darkness even until now. He who loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no occasion for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and doesn t know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. Ephesians 4:17-19 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts; who having become callous gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 9 strongholds leading into a death spiral when not walking in God s Ways 1. Relying on Humanism for answers Psalm 94:11 The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile. Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. 2. A darkened understanding A difficulty in perceiving or acknowledging the presence, the power, and authority of God. Acts 28:25-27 When they didn t agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had spoken one word, The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah, the prophet, to our fathers, saying, Go to this people, and say, in hearing, you will hear, but will in no way understand. In seeing, you will see, but will in no way perceive. For this people s heart has grown callous. Their ears are dull of hearing. Their eyes they have closed. Lest they should see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and would turn again, and I would heal them. 3. Alienated from the life of God John 17:3 This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Yeshua the Messiah. 4. Spiritual ignorance Outwardly religious but spiritually dead thinking that knowing is more important than doing Psalm 51:6 Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. You teach me wisdom in the inmost place. 5. An insensitive or hardened heart 2Timothy 3:1-5 But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of 4

money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good, traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also. 6. An inability to feel to be callous toward God and others They have no feelings toward God Isaiah 1:2 Hear, heavens, and listen, earth; for the LORD has spoken: I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me. The ox knows his owner, and the donkey his master s crib; but Israel doesn t know, my people don t consider. Ah sinful nation, a people loaded with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children who deal corruptly! They have forsaken the LORD. They have despised the Holy One of Israel. They are estranged and backward. Why should you be beaten more, that you revolt more and more? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint. From the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it: wounds, welts, and open sores. They haven t been closed, neither bandaged, neither soothed with oil. 7. Unbridled desires, lusting for the things of this world Lasciviousness is living with no restraint or no self-control over your desires Jude 1:14-19 About these also Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, Behold, the Lord came with ten thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment on all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their works of ungodliness which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers and complainers, walking after their lusts (and their mouth speaks proud things), showing respect of persons to gain advantage. But you, beloved, remember the words which have been spoken before by the emissaries of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah. They said to you that In the last time there will be mockers, walking after their own ungodly lusts. These are they who cause divisions, and are sensual, not having the Spirit. 1 Peter 1:13-16 Therefore, prepare your minds for action, be sober and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Yeshua the Messiah as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance, but just as he who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all of your behavior; because it is written, You shall be holy; for I am holy. 8. Uncleanness Moral, mental, and spiritual uncleanness. Only God can cleanse our inner selves as we are not able to. Our responsibility is to yield to Him. Psalm 51:10-13 Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Don t throw me from your presence, and don t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways. Sinners shall be converted to you. 5

Psalm 139:23,24 Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. 9. Greed Greed is the crowning mark of a life separated from God. Never finding satisfaction or rest. Proverbs 1:19 So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain. It takes away the life of its owners. 2Peter 2:12-22 But these, as unreasoning creatures, born natural animals to be taken and destroyed, speaking evil in matters about which they are ignorant, will in their destroying surely be destroyed, receiving the wages of unrighteousness; people who count it pleasure to revel in the daytime, spots and blemishes, reveling in their deceit while they feast with you; having eyes full of adultery, and who can t cease from sin; enticing unsettled souls; having a heart trained in greed; children of cursing; forsaking the right way, they went astray, having followed the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of wrongdoing; but he was rebuked for his own disobedience. A mute donkey spoke with a man s voice and stopped the madness of the prophet. These are wells without water, clouds driven by a storm; for whom the blackness of darkness has been reserved forever. For, uttering great swelling words of emptiness, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who are indeed escaping from those who live in error; promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for a man is brought into bondage by whoever overcomes him. For if, after they have escaped the defilement of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Yeshua the Messiah, they are again entangled in it and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, The dog turns to his own vomit again, and the sow that has washed to wallowing in the mire. 1 John 5:19,20 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Yeshua the Messiah. This is the true God, and eternal life. Isaiah 11:2 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him: the spirit of wisdom and under-standing, Deuteronomy 4:5,6 Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do so in the midst of the land where you go in to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. 6

1Chronicles 22:12,13 Only the LORD give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the LORD your God. Then shall you prosper, if you take heed to fulfill the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed. Ephesians 1:17-20 That the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the holy ones, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might which he worked in Messiah, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, There are three enlightenments that are foundational to our walk: 1. The hope of God s calling on your life! 2. The value He places on you as His inheritance! 3. The greatness of His power available to you! Psalm 94:14,15 For the LORD won t reject his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. For judgment will return to righteousness. All the upright in heart shall follow it. 7
