INTRODUCTION God has accomplished remarkable things for humankind through the work and words of women. Mary the mother of Jesus stands at the pinnacle of these faithful followers of God, but there were (and continue to be) many others who said yes to the call of God and in doing so made God present in the world, in our lives. This program will use the women of the Bible as our guides to the Holy Land and our sense of God s presence among us. While we will visit many places in the Holy Land where God was working out God s plan for humanity and places where God walked upon earth, we will make a special effort to travel to those sites that bring us into contact with the lives of these blessed women. Our journey will be enhanced by daily visits to Holy places, lectures, presentations, meditations and bible study in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Magdala and Nazareth. ITINERARY (Sequence of days and activities may be altered) 1 st Day Departures from New York for your trans-atlantic flight. 2 nd Day Departure from London Heathrow airport. Arrive Tel-Aviv airport from USA and UK. Meet, assist and transfer to Bethlehem. Welcome reception. Speaker. Overnight in Bethlehem. 3 rd Day Breakfast. Meditation. Morning visits to the Church of Nativity Milk Grotto Shepherds Field. Afternoon drive to Ein Karem (Home of Elizabeth). Visit Church of Visitation and Church of John the Baptist. Return to Bethlehem. Shroud Museum (Reflections). Meditation. Overnight in Jerusalem. 5 th Day Breakfast. Morning visits to St. Anne s Church (Mother of Mary) Pool of Bethesda Church of Flagellation Lithostratos. Drive to Bethany (Home of Mary and Martha). Proceed to River Jordan (Renewal/ Remembrance of Baptism). Drive to Jericho and Dead Sea. Speaker / Bible Study. Overnight in Jerusalem. 6 th Day Breakfast. Morning drive through Jordan Valley to Lake of Galilee. Around the Lake visits to Tabgha and Capernaum. REGISTRATION The program is cross-denominational and is open to women clergy and laywomen from different church congregations. A non-refundable Registration Fee (not included in the program cost) of $350.00 per person is required. Participants accompanying their church pastor/priest can register on the same Form.
