Pastor Robert says: WE CANNOT HAVE A CHILDREN S PROGRAM without CHILDREN! AND CHILDREN CANNOT DRIVE. SUNDAY LUNCH COOKS ARE NEEDED FOR NOVEMBER 4 and 18! Sunday Lunch at SMLC has been a long and beloved ministry. It truly builds community and celebrates our life together. It is also a lot of work! Ironically, as we have grown, it has become more challenging to gather teams to cook and serve. But if we can cover these two dates, we will be able to serve SEVEN SUNDAYS in a row. We have veterans who will work with newcomers. See Carolyn Schultz to be paired. Sign up on the chart in the Gathering Area. CALLING ALL SMLC WOMEN! THERE HAS BEEN A DATE CHANGE! It is now February 8-10,2019. Join us this year at Lutheridge for the annual Wild Women Retreat. The retreat consists of women of all ages throughout the southeast gathering to join in fun activities, small group discussions, Bible study, and unique worship opportunities, all led by Pastor Mary Canniff-Kuhn. The theme this year is on life transitions: How do we move from one season to another without regret and fear? Where does Jesus offer joy at every stage? The cost is $225 and includes lodging and meals. These weekends are very popular and fill up FAST! Register as soon as possible to secure your spot. We are not guaranteed any spots - when they are full, we cannot add more. Please contact Liza Cook with any questions (lizaanneballentine@gmail.com).
