Congratulations to all who have moved up to their new classes and to the new teachers for the 2016-17 year! Cheerful Hearts : Senior Group Meetings resume on Wednesday, September 7th in the fellowship hall. Community Picnic: This year the Believers Fellowship Sunday School Class is sponsoring a Community Picnic at RMBC Saturday, September 10 from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. We will be inviting the neighbors and community to a picnic meal at 12:00 noon. There will also be games (including electronic laser tag), music provided by our church folks, fellowship, and great food! This will be a whole church event. Please contact Jane Himes (592-7851) or Beth Rucker (444-4697) for more information, or if you would like to help serve by: setting up, tearing down, bringing or serving food, or supervising activities. Thank you in advance for helping to make this event a success by serving others and sharing God s love with those in our community! Alma Hunt Missions Week: September 11-18 will be the emphasis week for Alma Hunt. This is the offering for Virginia Missions. This year s theme is, Make the Most of every chance you get, from Ephesians 5:15-17. As a whole, Alma Hunt s goal is to collect $1,167,500. This year as you give to Virginia Missions, remember that every bit helps to Make it Count. Community Cheer Baskets Our collection continues. For the month of September please bring in cans or packaged fruit (peaches, pears, applesauce, mixed fruit etc). Please check expiration dates and be sure they have a mid 2017/early 2018 date. We will need 100 cans/packages of Fruit to reach our goal. Please continue to donate. THANKS!! There will be collections boxes in the connector building and the sanctuary entrance. The Roundup Save the Date: Sunday, October 30th Fall Festival 4-7 pm Pastor s Corner Fall is back at RMBC. After Labor Day, our full Wednesday programs resume and the energy and excitement takes off. I m excited as we begin this new season together. It s a time of vitality and growth and I encourage you to join us. You can read in this newsletter about our special Wednesday night study and about all the other opportunities that are happening. I m also looking forward to our community picnic our Believers Fellowship Class is leading. I hope you will consider helping out with this outreach event. I love that this is something born from our Sunday School class members who are desiring to make a connection and difference in this community. I pray more God moments will follow! So with Fall, why not recharge and renew. Join us each week for Sunday School, Worship, and Wednesday nights.
