The Shirt: http://teespring.com/jesus-calm Current Amount Sold: 2 The Niche: Here we are back at the Christian niche, this is the 2 nd or 3 rd time this niche has been featured in The Shack. Great, passionate niche. All about design. The Design: The design is the weakest part here for sure, close to the concept. The
design is bad because the choice of font sucks. No change-up and it's too basic and ugly, especially for this niche, the christian niche loves great designs so it is pretty hard to get them to bite with all white, text-based designs and this is from experience. So, if you do enter into this niche make sure you ask your designer to cook up some good looking stuff for whatever concepts you send in and pay the difference because text-based isn't really the way to go in this niche. They love sweet designs like this one featured in very start of The Shack: The Concept: Not much creativity put forth here for this puppy. The common Keep Calm theme is the core concept and it is finished with a simple statement, which is where the problem is. Just making a statement. The Keep Calm core concept can still work if it is twisted up creatively in a different way but this is definitely not the way to go about it.
Concepts aren't hard to come up in the christian niche, it's really all about the design in this niche. A concept can be as simple as a bible quote as seen in a successful christian campaign featured in The Shack feed earlier. Possible Targeting Angles: There was a fanpage that launched a few successful campaigns in the Christian niche, in the starter pack of The Shack I gave some advice, here's that section ripped directly from the feature: This niche is absolutely HUGE. There are many ways to target the Christian niche and I did well in the niche with a few shirts a couple of months ago. I haven't been done anything in the niche for a while but this guy has motivated me to maybe relaunch some of the old winners I had revised with my new knowledge. Again, Intersect here would be very helpful. It's not a must, it never is, but you will be able to find those winning interests faster when you can combine passion interests. You can start with a no brainer combination such as people who like God AND Christianity AND (a much smaller interest related to God, Jesus or christianity, such as 'jesus loves me') and get results. Don't be afraid to use Intersect to it's full potential. Nobody ever said you have to stick to a limit of 2 or 3 passion interests, in a niche this big you can merge a handful of passion interests to grab a highly passionate audience. I might like God on Facebook, but I don't like God and Christianity and New Testament and jesus daily and god is love, ONLY very, very passionate Christians do, which btw is a very targeted and New Testament jesus daily god is love might be more targeted than 18+ with an audience size of about 17k passionate 134k audience. That's without any further changes to targeting but you could get even go for a specific age/gender group, for example, WOMEN 35 44 years old who like God and Christianity and New Testament and jesus daily and god is love might be more targeted than 18+ with an audience size of about 17k.
Fanpage location: FOUND: His Light Clothing Copy, Banner & Approach: This ad got a decent bit of engagement but that's all this guy was paying for, engagement. The ad copy is ok, the ad banner isn't really good because no background and the border, even though it is red,
doesn't help anything here and the share with friends banner doesn't really help much either. What Fans Are Saying: Not much here, lots of support and slur of people commenting, Amen but nothing to use here for our gain. The engagement must have been pretty cheap for this ad as it did get a lot of comments and likes but with this ugly design and bad concept, it didn't convert over to money.
