Route 46 East, Netcong, NJ 973-347-0667 Volume 10, Issue 10 Discover the secret that cracks the communication code between husbands and wives and reap the benefits of marriage as God intended. Citing extensive biblical and psychological research, Dr. Emerson Eggerichs shows that harmony and happiness in relationships is not achieved by love alone, but by building on both parts of the Ephesians 5:33 equation Love and Respect. Increase your relationship success by attending the five session video conference held on October 26 & 27. Admission: $15.00 per person conference materials provided. For more information, contact Pastor Cameron Baker at 973-347-0667 ext. 16 Register TODAY at the Information Desk October 26, 6:00-10:00 PM October 27, 8:00 AM 1:00 PM FAQ s: Where is the conference? Grace is hosting the conference in partnership at First Baptist Church in Rockaway, NJ. 126 Mt Pleasant Avenue, Rockaway, NJ 07801 What is included in the conference? The two-day video conference, a conference workbook for each registered participant, and light snacks during the breaks. Is this conference only for married couples? Absolutely not! The focus of the Love and Respect conference is on the relationship between husbands and wives, but the implications go far beyond that crucial relationship. Past participants have experienced better understanding in relationships with their children, co-workers, and neighborhoods. Is there Childcare? Childcare is not provided. We encourage all parents to arrange their own childcare so that they can take full advantage of the brief times of discussion between sessions. Are there breaks? Yes. Short breaks are provided throughout and many local restaurants are available for lunch on Saturday. SUNDAY SERVICES: NETCONG CAMPUS: 8:15, 9:45 & 11:15 A.M. ROCKAWAY CAMPUS: 10:00 A.M. Football has started, leaves are just beginning to change, school is back in session, the temperatures are beginning to drop. All these things can only mean one thing: It must be time for Harvest Fest! October 13 is the date when everyone who calls Grace their church home can come together at the same time, at the same place, for the same purpose: to have a great time! There will be huge inflatable rides and games, great food, including the famous Grace Fries, delicious desserts, live music, pumpkin painting, popcorn, clowns, a real working cider press and live animals, as well as the opportunity for you to spend an afternoon (12:00-4:00 PM) with your friends and neighbors. Harvest Fest provides a great event for you to invite visitors to, so they can visit our campus. Take a postcard and give it to a coworker, neighbor or family member to invite them to join you here. We will also have lawn signs for you to put up in your yards to help spread the word for this afternoon of fun. It is important that we have lots of volunteers to help make this a wonderful day. We need EVERYONE involved. You can show off your grilling skills, cook up batches of fries, hand out drinks and desserts, pick up trash, set up and clean up or help with the many activities for kids that day. Sign up in the lobby at either campus. We are very glad that you've made Grace Church part of your busy week. It is our prayer that you were given a warm welcome and were challenged by a message true to the Word of God. Next Sunday, why not stop by the Grace Cafe and linger a while, getting to know some new friends? Also if this was your first Sunday with us, please let us know you visited by emailing us at tim@grace4families.com. It's encouraging to know you were here! On the third Saturday of each month, our friends 55 and older enjoy lunch and great Christian fellowship. This lunch is designed for both men and women who are 55 and older, hungry for the Bible and good Christian friends. This month they meet on October 20 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM in the Grace Cafe (Netcong Campus). Questions? Contact Sue Healy at whartonsue@yahoo.com. Fact: Every day people need prayer. Fact: Every day Grace Church has close to a hundred people praying for the needs of others. Fact: If you are a person of prayer and a believer in Jesus Christ, we need you on our Prayer Team. If you are interested in finding out more, shoot an email to the church office at: maryann@grace4families.com If you are in need of prayer, let us know and we will publish your request to the team.

CHRISTMAS IN OCTOBER!!! Getting Ready for Operation Christmas Child!! Hello everyone! Last year, in total we collected 563 boxes at Grace. We set a goal of 500 and exceeded that. Amazing! That's a lot of kids getting boxes. Hope you can join in the fun this year!! For all of you who have joined in the last couple of years you know what it's all about, but for the newbies here is some info below... Thanks again to all of you who contributed last year. So, if you haven't heard of Operation Christmas Child before it is a project run by Samaritan's Purse. Here is a message from Franklin Graham explaining the Power of a Simple Gift, Our OCC project presents a wonderful opportunity to share this life changing message with hurting children and their families. Each gift filled shoe box is given as a tangible expression of Gods unconditional love, bringing joy, renewing hope, and opening doors for the Good News of Jesus. To date, over 61 million boxes have been distributed to children all around the world for the past 15 years. Wow! That is a lot of shoe boxes. Lets see how many lives we can touch through the Power of a Simple Gift. If you want to know what country your box is shipped to, all you need to do is go on-line, pay the shipping and print out a tracking label. Once it is delivered, you'll get an email as to where your box went! The National Collection Week is November 11-19, 2012 Please bring your shoe box into church and put under the tree in the lobby starting the week of November 11th. Thank you again! This project is such a blessing, I hope you will join in (again!) Any Questions: call or email Nancy, Scott, Julia or Jonathon Dunham dunham4@optonline.net or 973-584-0417 Want to get to know other folks at Grace? Then think food, think small, and sign up! The Supper Clubs ministry is again looking to establish new groups for another season of fun and fellowship! Here s how it works: Think food. Approximately, eight people get together once per month in someone s home for a meal. NO agenda, other than to get to know one another and to enjoy a meal. Think small. The meal is basically a church covered-dish supper on a small scale. The members rotate to a different home each month, resulting in the group continuing for eight or nine months. That is the extent of the commitment. Of course, the group may then continue meeting. Other options may be to dissolve, or some of the individuals or couples may want to begin their own new groups. Registration will take place in the church lobby on October 28 & November 4. Fall kick-off event at GRACE NETCONG on Friday, November 9, at 7:00 p.m. This is when groups will be established and all members will have a chance to meet, select an initial host family, exchange contact information, and establish an initial meeting date and time. Questions? Contact Sandy Flynn at flynn4family@yahoo.com.

I love coming to Grace, but it s hard that get to know people. That s a comment I ve heard from a considerable number of people who attend worship at Grace. They love the church, believe in the vision, and appreciate what we teach. But they haven t been able to connect with many other folks. They also would like to draw closer to God. You probably have heard someone express those very thoughts. And YOU may be part of the answer by either leading or hosting a group that will include a simple and accessible plan. The purpose of this new initiative is to see people connect on a deeper level not only with one another, but also with God and His Word. This ministry year is to be a year of connection. Shortly after the New Year we will launch connections groups with the goal of nearly doubling the people who are connected with one another by means of Bible study and fellowship. Would you consider hosting or leading a Connections Group? It s not difficult. You ll get to know other people at Grace, and they will also experience that same connected feeling. The introductory meeting will take place Monday, October 29, at 7:00 PM in the Youth Room at Grace Netcong. Let me know if you plan to attend, or share your questions by emailing armin@grace4families.com It s all about connecting with God God s Word God s people. And YOU may be part of the plan that will make it all happen. For 5 days in October 2011, approximately 500 people from Grace Church cried out to God in prayer and fasting. Our prayer was that God would expand our territory so we could experience more of His presence and power in our lives. During that period, we received many stories, big and small, about all the mighty ways God was providing for and meeting people s needs. This October, we re doing it again! On the week of October 15-19, we will once again come together to seek the anointing of God s Spirit on our congregation. For five days, we will provide the tools and resources you need to seek out God s power and presence for your family, your life, our church, and our city. We will provide detailed prayer guides, daily online pastoral video, and will end it with a BIG WORSHIP CELEBRATION EVENING on Friday, October 19 at 7:00 PM If you are eager to experience what God is yet to do, you can begin praying for this event by asking God to prepare our hearts as a church. Looking forward to it! Come join a prayer meeting for Grace Church Rockaway! On Sunday, October 21, we will be spending an hour together praying for the ministries, volunteers, and people in the Rockaway area. This prayer meeting will be led by Cameron Baker, Campus Pastor. We will meet at the Rockaway Campus, the Dennis B. O Brien Elementary School at 12:30 PM. Faithful people of prayer are needed from BOTH campuses of Grace Church. Hope to see you there. RSVP Cameron@grace4families.com.
