Metropolitan SDA Junior Academy Metro Messenger Announcements January 18, 2019 There will be no school Monday, January 21 in observance of Martin Luther King s Birthday. Classes will resume Tuesday, January 22. Afterschool Activities for the week of January 22 25: Tuesday 1/22 GymKids 3:30 Thursday 1/24 Gymnastics 3:30 Last week s newsletter gave dates for the Aeros Clinic/Jump Rope and Aeros Weekend with Friday night Vespers at Metro, Worship Service the next day at Metro and a performance Saturday evening. The corrected dates are April 12 and 13. We apologize for any inconvenience. Attached is the flyer for our upcoming Skate Day on Monday, February 4. In order to rent the rink for a private group we will be paying a flat rate and our minimum group is 75. Since we have 48 students, we are able to accommodate parents/drivers who would like to join the fun. Per person price of $5 includes skate rental and skate time of 2 hours. You may choose either roller blades or roller skates. It is VERY important that we have sufficient drivers. Although the distance to Riverside Arena Is about 4 miles, it is an area that usually has fairly heavy traffic all day long. For this reason it is not possible to have the school van shuttle students. As the form indicates we plan to leave the school about noon and return at 3:00. PLEASE let us know if you are able to help with the driving. There is a place on the flyer to provide this information and Thank You in advance for helping to make this outing a success! The Metro Food Store will be open Wednesday, January 23 from 2:30 to 3:30. It is only open 1 Wednesday a month so check your supply of veggie food to see if you need to visit the store that day. The weather forecast includes the s word. In the event that we do receive several inches of snow, school may be closed. This year we plan to notify families by way of One Call Now. For the current status you may still tune in to one of the local channels that broadcast school closings. If either Plymouth/Canton Schools or Northville Schools are closed, Metro is also closed.
Hmmmm. Does someone look familiar??? Fortunately he returned to school minus the horns! Something looks VERY interesting!
