Sunday, October 28th 5-7pm Is your family ready to go on a TREASURE HUNT? This is a family-oriented follow-up event to our Shipwrecked VBS. Castaways will learn about Finding ALL You Need in Jesus with lots of treasure hunt type activities as well as yummy chili & hot dogs for supper. Kids can wear nonscary costumes if you d like. This is a great event to invite the families in your neighborhood to Helmar! If you can help with this super fun event, check out the sign up sheet in the narthex to see where you can plug in! See Kary Niles with questions. Candy donations for the Treasure Hunt Fall Fest will be collected in the Narthex and FLC Lobby until Saturday, Oct 27th. We'd appreciate any type of candy as long as they are individually wrapped. Thank you!! It s that time again! Let s see how many shoeboxes we can fill! It s been 25 years since the first shoeboxes were collected in the United States and Canada. Sadly, last year we only filled 26 shoeboxes. :( I know we can do better this year! Let s DOUBLE that number at the very least! O.C.C. shoeboxes and instructions are available in the FLC lobby and the narthex. If anyone would like to donate financially to Samaritans Purse, make checks out to Helmar Church and we will get it to them. FUN FACT-Shoebox collection began in 1993. In 1995, it expanded to 17 countries. In 1996, it expanded to 35 countries. In 2001, shoebox gifts exceeded 5 million for the first time. For many of those who receive these boxes, it is the only gift they will get and it will be the first time they hear about Jesus! Let s be a part of this great project! No Longer Slaves by Brian Johnson, Joel Case, Jonathan David Helser You unravel me with a melody You surround me with a song Of deliverance from my enemies Till all my fears are gone I'm no longer a slave to fear I'm no longer a slave to fear From my Mother's womb You have chosen me Love has called my name I've been born again into Your family Your blood flows through my veins Twice Bridge (Twice) You split the sea so I could walk right through it My fears were drowned in perfect love You rescued me so I could stand and sing Just As I Am by Charlotte Elliott, David Moffitt, Sue C. Smith, Travis Cottrell, William Batchelder Bradbury Just as I am without one plea But that Thy blood was shed for me And that Thou bidst me come to Thee Just as I am and waiting not To rid my soul of one dark blot To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot I come broken to be mended I come wounded to be healed I come desperate to be rescued I come empty to be filled I come guilty to be pardoned By the blood of Christ the Lamb And I'm welcomed with open arms praise God Just as I am Just as I am I would be lost But mercy and grace my freedom bought And now to glory in Your cross Twice Ending Praise God just as I am Just as I am CCLI #312371
