INSPIRED WORD June 28, 2017 (Reflections on Jim Murphy conference) PRAYER Lord, we gather as Your people here. We ask You to pour forth that Spirit of God, that Spirit that is not timid, but that Spirit of love that takes us and moves us and enables us to praise and worship You. Send Him forth, Lord. Let us praise and worship You in joy. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18: The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And all of us, with unveiled faces, see the glory of the Lord, as though reflected in a mirror, and are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. And when we sing, Shine, Jesus, shine, fill this world with the Father s glory, we are the ones that reflect Him and it comes from the Lord, His Spirit. PRAYER / Dear Lord, we praise and exalt You and we come before You with humility of heart. We come before You and worship You in fullness, that portion that You have granted us, O Lord, Most High God. In Isaiah 58:12, God tells us: Those from among you shall build the old wastelands; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in. Father, we just pray that You show us worthy to be the repairer of the breach, that we build up the foundations of Godly generations, that we will come before You and worship You in power, worship You in truth, and we just come before You to praise and exalt You and magnify Your holy name. For You alone are worthy; worthy, worthy, worthy is the Lamb. Worthy of glory; worthy of all praise. Alleluia to the Lamb! We worship You. We praise and exalt You and magnify Your holy name for You alone are worthy; worthy, worthy, worthy is the Lamb, the righteous, holy, risen Lamb of God. Alleluia! IMAGE / PROPHECY As we were singing that last song, I had a vision of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. And I saw these flames coming forth from His Heart. I saw these flames coming out and touching each of our hearts. And I had the words: My children, embrace this flame just as I breathed upon the apostles at Pentecost to receive the Spirit, receive the flame of the Spirit, the infinite flame that radiates from My Sacred Heart. I love you with an everlasting love, My children.

Another confirmation, I was given these words right before Jimmy came up: Step into the light, the light of the Lord, the intensity of His light of love, forgiveness, purity and worship. The song before the last song that we sang, there was a phrase that says: Send forth Your word, Lord, and let there be light. And send forth Your word stuck in my mind and the thought that came about was I don t know chapter and verse, perhaps someone else has it, but God says, My word will go out and it won t come back to me until it s fulfilled. That s a paraphrase so hopefully someone has what that is. Romans 8:14-17: For those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the spirit of adoption for which we cry out, Abba! Father! The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God, joint heirs with Christ, if only we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him. And for what Doug has said, that s from Isaiah 55:10-11: For just as from the heavens the rain and snow come down, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making it fertile and fruitful, giving seed to him who sows and bread to him who eats, so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me void but shall do my will, achieving the end for which I sent it. I felt the Lord calling me to the Book of Sirach but I wasn t sure where and I was just going through it. I m not sure if this is what He wanted me to read but it s what I want to say about Him, to give Him thanks (17:1-13): The Lord created man out of earth, and turned him back to it again. He gave to men few days, a limited time, but granted them authority over the things upon the earth. He endowed them with strength like his own, and made them in his own image. He placed the fear of them in all living beings, and granted them dominion over beasts and birds. He made for them tongue and eyes; he gave them ears and a mind for thinking. He filled them with knowledge and understanding, and showed them good and evil. He set his eyes upon their hearts to show them the majesty of his works. And they will praise his holy name, to proclaim the grandeur of his works. He bestowed knowledge upon them, and allotted to them the law of life. He established with them an eternal covenant, and showed them his judgments. Their eyes saw (our eyes see) his glorious majesty, and their ears heard (our ears hear) the glory of his voice.

From this conference, I just felt like when he sent us out, when he sent us out two-by-two, it was just like when Jesus sent out the apostles and said, I formed your character, I gifted you with the charisms, and I m sending you out two-by-two to the nations, to the land, to touch the people. God is saying to us that it s okay; we are not alone. I keep going back to our beginning song that professed what we believe and also what Jimmy shared and so from 2 Timothy 3:14-17, Paul is saying to Timothy but also to us: But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it and how from infancy you have know the holy scriptures which are able to make you yearn for salvation through the faith in Jesus Christ. All scripture is Godinspired and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Well, with all that s been spoken here tonight and the words that have been read, it s like God saying, Okay, share this. I was in the back and I just felt like this incredible urgency from the Holy Spirit. ( ) Just call out to Me and I will show you great and wonderful things. But with that came a startling, almost like heartbreak, that the Lord was saying, You have to ask for it but I can t do it until you ask. EXHORTATION / PRAYER / From the depths of our hearts, we need to ask the Lord from the depths of our hearts to come. Come, Lord, come! And that requires a hunger, huh? O Lord, increase that hunger and thirst within us. Increase that in us, O Lord, that we may say come from the depths of our being, come from the depths of our hearts. Come, come, O Lord, come. Come, Holy Spirit, come! Come, set the fire in our hearts again. Come! Let us ask with sincerity and humility; give us that, O Lord. There s that grace, that the asking comes from within, and the recognition that we can do nothing without you, the recognition that we need You for everything, and the recognition that we can t even love without Your grace. Come, O Lord, Your Grace, come. Help us to say come, each individual heart, come. We can call out to Him; we can call out to Him individually; speak to Him, people of God. Come! Lord, we give You permission to move in any way You want to here, not only here in this place but in our lives. Yes! And you see, this must be sincere, people of God, this must come from a sincere place. Come, Lord, come. Do not be afraid to ask. I m a God who loves you more than you can ever imagine. Do not be afraid to ask. Do not be afraid to open your hearts to Me. Do not be afraid. Do not be afraid to walk the path that I ve called you on. Do not afraid, but trust. Do not be afraid of My love. Do not be afraid. God loves you. Ask.

Revelation 3:20-21: Here I stand, knocking at the door; if any one hears me calling and opens the door, I will enter his house and have supper with him, and he with me. I will give to the victor the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself won the victory and took the seat beside my Father on the throne. CONFIRMATION / SHARING I d like to confirm what Ruth said. Before she spoke, I looked back in my journal and I found something that I had written: I need to learn to pray bold prayer, asking God for the things that only He can bring about. That if they are in accordance with His will, to pray for requests in my life beyond. The Lord keep me safe and warm and well-fed. Amen. SHARING / PRAYER ( ) in my spirit and it s like, Ruth, you just capped the whole thing off for me. It was like, yeah, yes, Lord, yes, yes, Lord. It s like He wants us to really open our hearts, to come before Him in humility, just come before Him and just really open up to Him. And it s, you know, not to be proud, not to be I hate to use the word arrogant in ourselves, but just to come before Him and just let Him open us up because this has been a strange year. And it s been a hard time and just O Dear God, I just want to open my heart to You. I just ask that You teach me Your ways, O Lord. Teach me Your proper conduct and Your proper ways so that I might truly come before You and that I might be a good gent, I just want to be a good gent, Lord. SHARING / EXHORTATION It s not about how I felt originally. I was at a very vulnerable place. I think that s where God wants us, in a very vulnerable place. We re not going to rely on anybody but Him. We re not going to depend on anything but Him. So now I think I ve gotten to a place, and Jimmy kind of talked about it, maybe I m okay where I am and I don t need as much of God. Maybe my daily prayer time is okay and I don t need to consult God in the morning when I wake up. Even the good things that we do are getting in the way of us being vulnerable with God and letting Him teach us like we re kids. Let s be kids again. Be that young person who doesn t know anything and let God get back to telling you what to do. And that s the original joy. And I think Ruth is right. It s not We have to do it now. We cannot wait any longer to try to get back to where we were. Get everything else out of the way and just go back. IMAGE / When the Deacon was speaking a little while ago, God gave me a vision, an interior vision, and what it was is there was a huge tree right here, and this tree grew and grew and grew. And its tendrils and its branches went out the windows, out the door. And I didn t see the rest of this vision; I didn t actually see it but I know that what this vision was talking about was, I think it corresponds to the message that was given in this church almost 30 years ago, where people

will be touched by what s going on in this church. And anyway, I felt that these branches were touching many, many people in this city. I know, I feel very strongly that people have come to this church because the tree is here and they want to be part of this. They are broken; they are sad; they have lost hope, many of them, especially the young people. So I just thank You for that vision because You made it one of hope and it s just a fulfillment of the promise that You made here in this church all those years ago. SHARING / EXHORTATION It s funny; she used the phrase from a song that was sung a couple weeks ago here about in this city, greater things are yet to be done in this city, greater things are yet to be done here. And I shared that I could identify with the word city but I was very troubled with what was happening in our country. And that following week, I want to share this. When I was thinking and praying about the terrible stresses we re having in this country, I sang that song interiorly, and I just broke out exteriorly while I was working on a construction project. And I used the word country rather than city. And there was a point where I felt like I was just totally connected with God on that. The prayer had reached heaven. And I don t feel that very often but I felt it that time. And I encourage that if you are concerned about this country to use that song as a prayer, using the word country, and it s kind of interesting. I m just one person but if we all could pray. We mustn t discount the power of prayer. We are in a spiritual battle. And know I m starting to see that tide seems to be turning; lies are being exposed and brought down but we need to keep praying. PROPHECY O My beloved ones, have I not told you over and over and over, in My word, not to fear. What is happening in this world is not out of My control. But I do choose to use you, my servants, and others like you, to do My will. Do not look to the right or the left of you, the front or the back of you, as to what I am doing with them. You need only to look to Me. I will guide you; I will give you the words; I will send you where I want you to be. The timing is Mine, My beloved. If you only knew the love I have for all of My creation, if you only knew the depth, the breadth, the height and the width of My love for you, if you could comprehend that, My beloved, you would not fear. I love you with a love unending. You cannot separate yourself from My love for I have chosen you and you have chosen Me. So do not stumble on your failures. Look to Me, the Forgiver of all things. I died on the cross for you, all of you. Just know that you are My beloved. And I wait for you, I hunger for you, to give yourself to Me, unashamed, not fearful, but willing, willing to sit with Me, listen to Me, and do as I instruct you. For I have made you unique and you are part of the big tapestry. Only you can be the thread woven in this tapestry. Only you, My children, are a unique piece of work. I have prepared you for this. You may not know that now but I have. And you will succeed as you keep your eyes on Me.

IMAGE / From that word, before it was spoken, the image that was coming into my mind was of me but it really was me and each one of us standing with Jesus and His eyes were full of joy and love. And standing there each morning He says to us, Today, this is what I have planned for you to do. Watch for this person; watch for this situation, because you and I walk together. Come, be with Me, expect Me to tell you the things I have planned, and then trust that I walk with you. IMAGE I saw a path and the path was cut through a farm field with grain growing along the side of it. And I said, What is that? And then He said, The harvest is ready and laborers are few. So God is calling for that harvest. Ephesians 3:17-19: May Christ dwell in your hearts through faith, and I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. PRAYER So Lord, Your people gathered here give You thanks for Your holy presence and for Your mighty word, for Your call and for our response. Lord, enable us this day and the rest of the days in this week, and as we go forward, to totally depend on You and to totally say yes, every day, to the path that You put us on.
