You and your family may give one of these lilies in memory or honor of a loved one or of someone who is meaningful to you. Your gift helps defray the cost of the sanctuary lilies and those taken to members served by the Home Visitation Ministry. The lilies cost $12 each, and a list of donors will be published on Easter Sunday. You can fill out one of the forms found around the church and mail it or bring it with your check to the Church Office. You can order online at hbbc.org/lilies. The deadline for submitting forms is Sunday, April 14. HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE Palm Sunday April 14 - Children will participate in worship in a special processional. Children who plan to participate should be in the Sanctuary at 9:15 AM. No Family Night April 17 Maundy Thursday Worship with us at 6:30 PM on Thursday, April 18. Walk the Path to the Cross Good Friday April 19 - Stations will be set up across our campus, and a map and booklet will be provided so that you and your family may participate. Our Easter Service will begin at 10:50 AM and will include Baptism. DISASTER RELIEF MISSION TRIP: APRIL 29-MAY 3 April 29-May 3, our disaster relief mission trip will serve in Lumberton, NC. There is a lot of rebuilding that still needs to be done to help those that have been affected by the Hurricanes of 2018. Baptists on Mission (Baptist Men) continues this work each and every week. There is no cost for the trip as donations to Baptists on Mission covers this for volunteers. We will leave Monday morning and return on Friday afternoon; lodging will be in bunks and meals will be provided. Serving just a few days during the week is also an option. Contact Kristen Muse to sign up by April 8. MEMBERSHIP MATTERS BEGINS APRIL 28 Membership Matters is a 5-session class that meets during Sunday School starting Sunday, April 28 to provide newcomers perspectives on living in faith at HBBC. This class is open to all visitors and new members alike. To sign up, please contact our church office at (919) 833-4617 or celler@hbbc.org. WHIRLIGIG PARK / BASEBALL MUSEUM Join us on April 11 on a trip to the Whirligig Park / Baseball Museum in Wilson, NC. We will leave from the church at 10:00 AM and return by 4:00 PM. Your cost will be the price of your meal at the famous Parker s Barbecue. Please sign up by April 8. EASTER MISSIONS OFFERING Through the season of Lent, we are preparing our hearts to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior. Sadly, many people in our world will not celebrate Easter as the observance of the resurrection. Perhaps they have not yet heard, or if they have heard, they have not yet responded to the Good News of Jesus life, death, and resurrection. One way we can share this Good News is through our gifts to our annual Easter Missions Offering. Our goal for the 2019 Easter Missions Offering is $20,000 and can be designated to CBF Global Missions, SBC Annie Armstrong Missions Offering or to HBBC Missions. So far, $3,675 has been given. You may give using the envelope you received in the mail or pick up one around the church. You can also give online by going to hbbc.org/give and selecting which Easter Offering category you would like to support! PALM SUNDAY: APRIL 14 Children are invited to participate in worship by being part of the special processional waving palm branches in remembrance of Jesus s Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. Children will also lead other aspects of worship that morning. Any children who are planning to participate in the Palm Sunday processional need to be in the Sanctuary at 9:15 AM that morning to practice.
