The chapel lamp is lit this week for the glory of God. The sanctuary lamp is lit this week for the glory of God, and in honor of Kim and Brooke Wood s birthdays, with love from their family. Nursery for infants thru Pre-K Pew Cushions Individual pew cushions are available from the ushers. There will be a Churchwide Conference Meeting to be held in the sanctuary on Tuesday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. to approve the purchase of the Parsonage for St. Andrew. You are encouraged to attend if possible. *** There will be a brief Church Council meeting immediately following worship today in the Parlor to discuss the purchase of the Parsonage.
WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY MEAL April 17 We will not have After School, LOGOS, Meal, Grandparents Support Group or Bible Study on Wednesday, April 17, but YOGA will still be held in Cottrell Hall at 6:30 p.m., Choir at 6:30 p.m. and One in the Spirit at 8:00 p.m. Wonderful Wednesday Meals 5:30 6:30 p.m. in Friendship Hall. There will not be a charge at the door, but donation baskets will be available on each table. These donations will be used to offset the cost of the meal with proceeds going toward a chosen cause. Reservations are no longer required just come and join us in Friendship Hall! SUMMER FUN CAMP St. Andrew UMC Preschool registration for Summer Fun Camp, Ages 2-7, June 24 July 25, Monday Thursday 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Cost is $150.00 and the fee is due with application. Your donation will make a lasting impact on a young person s life. Dementia Friendly Café! The Grind, 1481 MacCorkle Avenue, will be hosting a Dementia Friendly Café on Tuesday, April 16 from 2:00 4:00 p.m. It is a welcoming place for individuals with Alzheimer s or any type of the dementias or other brain disorders. The café is a safe and comfortable space where caregivers and their loved ones can socialize, enjoy a meal, and enjoy the company of those with similar things in common. Mother -Other Banquet Wednesday, May 8, 2018 6:00 p.m. Friendship Hall Reservations required The men will be preparing the meal and the menu includes: Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Rolls and Dessert. There will be light entertainment following dinner. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Deadline for reservations is Sunday, May 5. All reservations can be turned in to Kathy Jordan or the church office. Please bring a geranium with you to be planted in the church yard. ** SNAP is in the process of forming Croquet teams and needs croquet sets. If you have one lying around you aren t using and would like to donate it to SNAP, please see Jean Swanson. JESUS PROM 2019 Sunday, April 28. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. for hair and makeup and the prom begins at 6:00 p.m. The Jesus Prom is a prom for people of all ages with special needs and their caretakers. There will be a fully-catered meal, dancing, prom pictures, a photo booth, and guests can even get their hair and make-up done before the event. Every guest will get either a corsage or boutonniere and will get an opportunity to walk the red carpet as the paparazzi takes photos at this fun-filled evening. The Jesus Prom is sponsored by Gateway Christian Church but because this event has grown so much over the years, it will be held at St. Albans High School, 2100 Kanawha Terrace, St. Albans.
