THOMAS MORE SCHOOL St. Thomas More School, along with ten other Catholic schools in the Green Bay area; is part of the Catholic education system known as GRACE (Green Bay Area Catholic Education). Although the support of these ten schools mainly comes from GRACE and the twenty-three parishes supporting the system, as well as tuition from our families, each school is still responsible for doing their own third source funding. St. Thomas More includes this Annual Appeal as part of our third source funding. Donations given to this appeal will go directly to St. Thomas More School. As a parent or grandparent of these students, or someone who believes in or has benefitted from a quality Catholic education, your support of St. Thomas More is appreciated. The community of St. Thomas More School thanks God for your generous giving and asks Him to bless your days abundantly. We ask that you continue to keep our school and families in your prayers. LIGHTHOUSE CD S Our Beautiful End: Exploring the Timeless Mystery of Heaven The son of a Protestant minister, Matthew Leonard is now an internationally known Catholic speaker, author, and the Executive Director of the St. Paul Center for Biblical Theology. In this presentation, Matthew discusses the nature and role of beauty in life, particularly how it sheds light on the nature of God and assists us in achieving our glorious end, which is heaven itself.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, I hope you are well! I write to you having completed my second year of theology at Mundelein Seminary. Last summer I was in Morelia, Mexico, studying Spanish. It was a great experience. One of the highlights was visiting the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City and praying for all of you before the tilma, which is the piece of St. Juan Diego's cloak on which Mary left her now-famous image. I spent the fall semester at the seminary. This spring I completed a seminary-sponsored internship at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish in Oshkosh. What a wonderful experience. The parishioners were very warm and affirming, and the pastor was a great priest to learn from. I'm more excited than ever to serve God's people. I know this is exactly where He wants me! This summer I will be an intern at a hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. I will learn how to be with the sick and the dying and their families. I think this will be a challenging experience, and I know I have much room to grow in this area. Please keep me and my patients in your prayers this summer. Looking ahead, I will be ordained a deacon on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at 3pm here at the Cathedral. Each of you is invited to attend, and I hope to see many of you there. Please keep me in prayer as I prepare for ordination. Please especially pray that God will grant me the graces I need to be ready for ordination and that I will be open to receiving them. Thank you for all of your prayers and support. I look forward to seeing you at the Cathedral over the holidays! Sincerely in Him, Kyle GREEN BAY SUMMER ORGAN CONCERTS All concerts take place on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm. and lasts 30-40 minutes. No charge. LOVE LIFE DIAPER DRIVE St. Francis Xavier Cathedral is participating in Love Life Diaper Drive now through Fathers Day. The collection box is located near the elevator in the Bishop Wycislo Center lobby. Your generosity is appreciated. PRAYER CORNER The Month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. But why His Heart? Because in every language, in every age, the heart is regarded as the natural symbol of love and affection. What more natural and expressive symbol is there, then, of the excessive love of Jesus than His Sacred Heart? ~Sisters of Carmel, Colorado Springs, CO It s a good practice to begin each day by uniting yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and praying the Morning Offering: O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in thanksgiving for your favors, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen. **Quick tip: The new Relevant Radio app has an alarm setting with the Morning Offering!

Tom, Dcn. Conrad and I for a one day Pilgrimage to the Monastery. The day included the Byzantine Divine Liturgy, a time to learn about the history of this Eastern Rite, the area and the Monastery. We were spiritually fed and thanks to Fr. Moses we were physically fed. Though it was earthly food, it was a spiritual opportunity to unite with the Monastery and their everyday life. There were many compliments and requests to offer more similar spiritual opportunities. Many were so grateful for this day I am truly grateful for being with you on this Pilgrimage. Mary, Mother of God, Searcher of the Lost, Pray for us. + Barbara CONSECRATION OF THE YOUNG TO MARY O Mary, Mother of God, Mother of the Church, Mother of all of the families, and in a special way Mother of the young, we implore your most powerful intercession to rescue us from the power of the enemy. Dear Mary, Mother, guide and protector of the young we implore your intercession around and over our young people; they are surrounded by so many evils, temptations, and seductions that easily blind them from the true meaning of life and the true source of happiness which is God. The devil tempts them to forget and even deny God s existence; the flesh rebels against the spirit and insists on immediate gratification; the world lies to them, convincing them that true happiness can be found in this world and this world alone. Dear Mary, our Mother and Queen help our youth to discover in depths of their hearts, minds and souls that the reason for our existence is very simple but profound to know, love and serve God in this life so as to be happy with Him forever in heaven. Dear Mary, we invoke you as our life, our sweetness and our hope. May our young people live their lives to the fullest by following Jesus who is truly the LIFE of our life. May our youth find their joy happiness and sweetness in the loving embraces of the Sacred heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Finally, in the midst of the storms, tempest and bitter trials of life, may our youth discover hope in Mary s Immaculate Heart and maternal embrace. Dear Mary, may our young people become precious and shiny jewels one day in your crown in heaven, so that they may for all eternity contemplate the beauty of the face of God- Father, Son and Holy Spirit for all eternity.
