Thanksgiving Anyhow! Habakkuk 3:17-19
I. When the Provision of God Changes; Be Thankful He is Unchanged (V. 17) A. Habbakkuk envisions losing things vital to their economy. B. This prophet says he will be thankful anyhow. C. Economic conditions change. D. God does not change - so be thankful.
Malachi 3:16-17 Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name. 17 They shall be Mine, says the Lord of hosts, On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
II. When Suffering Be Thankful for His Salvation (V.18) A. We are never far from problems in this life. B. Salvation provides eternal life, a future and hope!
Titus 1:2 in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began. John 3:16; For God so loved the world John 5:24; Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
1 John 5:11-13 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. C. Heaven is ahead for the redeemed!
John 14:1-6 1 Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know. 5 Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
D. The best is yet to come 1 Peter 1:3-4, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you!
Psalm 150 Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament! 2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! 3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! 4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 5 Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals! 6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!
III. When Passing Through Trials We Can Triumph in Christ (V. 19) A. The Lord is my strength Psalm 27:1, The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
We Can Triumph in Christ! B. He will make my feet like deer s feet. C. He will make me to walk on high places Higher Ground. D. God is always up to the occasion.
Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me? 1 Thess. 5:16-18, 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Psalm 67 1 To the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song. God be merciful to us and bless us, [And] cause His face to shine upon us, Selah 2 That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations. 3 Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You.

Selah 5 Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. 6 [Then] the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us. 7 God shall bless us, And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.
