CCDevP Basketball Tournament- The Community Child Development Basketball Tournament was outstanding as more than 70 youth in the community participated during the first weeks. Special thanks to our Pastor for allowing us to participate. Extra special thanks to Coach Marcus Jones and a host of volunteers for a job well done. Issue#: 2 3 Men of Faith Black History Program The Men of Faith had their annual Service on Sunday, February 26 th. They gave us insight in what it means to be a man in the Old School and New School way. The Children Ministry put on an excellent program showcasing people and moments from black history. The Lord was surely in the house and having his way. 7 new members gave their lives over to Christ. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Sunday, March 11 th the Voices of St. Titus One took us back in song. Issue#: 2 5 Pastor Jones on the Move! Pastor Michael A. Jones, I recently met with Christopher G. Kennedy, son of U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy and member of the distinguished Kennedy family at Merchandise Mart in Chicago. Pastor Jones was among a select group of pastors invited to learn about and participate in a special program to benefit our community. Christopher Kennedy is the president of the Merchandise Mart Properties here in Chicago. Pastor Jones recently spoke to approximately 60 men during the Restoration Church Men s Conference. About 15 men from St. Titus One were in attendance to show support. This was a life changing event.

Pastor Jones was selected to represent Salem District and speak at the National Baptist Convention Home Mission Board Revival on March 30th. This event was sponsored by two State Conventions - The Illinois Baptist General Convention of Il and the United Baptist State Convention of IL. Minister Stewart recently celebrated his retirement from Orkin after over 26 years of service! Miara Jones & Lauren Adams were recently featured as student of the month during the month of Feburary in their respective schools. This honor included a Photo on the Bulletin board in the main foyer of the school. Randy Weldon recently got accepted to Alabama A & M University!!!
