JUNE 13, 2017 THE CHURCH VISITOR It is almost time! It is just around the corner. VBS will begin in just five days. This Sunday morning you will notice a number of temporary, fun changes throughout the building that will accommodate the five day experience. A Training Academy has been designed to help volunteers present the Word of God to our children and guests in a unique and extraordinary atmosphere. Each session exposes valuable truths from the Word of God and focuses on key leaders in the Old and New Testaments. The children will be on a training mission all week learning to identify the one true God over counterfeit gods; to know the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; to hear about the God of Moses, I AM; explore the ministry of God the Son; and know that God wants to have a lifelong relationship with every person. The mission of the VBS staff is more for our boys, girls, and guests to learn more about the Bible and to appreciate God s Word as our guide for living. Preparing for this mission has been undergirded by your prayers, participation and support. The VBS mission is possible in God s strength and with your prayers. Should you be unable to locate a cup of coffee or the addictive donut holes this Sunday, please ask any Special Agent in the Academy Headquarters (Gathering Place) and you will be directed to the Top Secret and temporary location of the coffee station. Everyone is welcome to join the week s experience in the Briefing Room, Forensics Lab, Classified Crafts, Field Training, Top Secret Snacks, or Opening and Closing Agents Assembly. Simply arrive at the Main Entrance of the Academy and go through the Security Checkpoint for admission to the facility. Looking forward to seeing you on campus June 18-22. Everyone is invited to see the Agents-in-Training graduation at 7:50 pm on Thursday, June 22, in the Academy Headquarters. Operation Outreach Agent s-in-training and Special Agents are asked to bring the following food items as VBS offering: Sunday - Macaroni and Cheese Monday - Canned Vegetables Tuesday - Canned Fruit Wednesday - Peanut Butter Thursday - Jelly or Jam All food items collected will be delivered to N.E.E.D. after VBS. PARENTS REMINDER: All children need to wear shorts, VBS T-shirt (that is available Sunday morning) and tennis shoes each day of VBS. Thank you!
