This year, with your entertainment, we will have chicken and stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans and broccoli. Tickets are $17 for adults and $8.50 for kids. Purchase your tickets from Elmer Groom, Amy Byrd, and Josh or Esther Slocum. Vacation Bible School is Coming Soon! Join us and the Robertson family from Duck Dynasty July 11-15 for the greatest rodeo of all time! Rodeos are filled with cowboys falling off bulls, horses knocking down barrels, and colorful clowns keeping everyone laughing. There s something for everyone! Willie, Si, Phil, Miss Kay, Jase, Jep, and the whole Robertson gang all love the parables that Jesus told in the Bible. Christ was a powerful storyteller, and He knew how to get to the heart and mind of a person with the stories He told! Willie s Redneck Rodeo is filled with these stories of Jesus as told through the modern-day exploits of the Robertson family. Each day, children will have the opportunity to learn more about these stories of Jesus through music, games, arts and crafts, activities, and more! So y all need to put on those cowboy hats and start practicing those southern accents, because we need actors to portray the Robertson gang! Please sign up in the foyer or call the church office.

A Word from Your Pastor I am proud of you, our church family, in so many ways. However, I do not know if I have been any prouder or pleased than how you ministered in the last week or so. I truly was impressed with the sacrifice and willingness to do what was necessary to ensure our church is communicating the love of Christ to all people. Last week Susan was out due to vacation and the office was covered as needed each day. Doing so freed Josh and me up to fulfill our responsibilities. Thanks to those who worked so hard for us! Friday of last week it became evident that rain would be part of Saturday, and therefore, the Easter Egg Hunt. Not to fear, our Egg Hunt leadership team began texting and talking Friday evening and developed a plan to minister to our community, even though everything was moved indoors. As volunteers came to serve, everyone adjusted and did what was necessary with no complaining or second-guessing. The result was a sweet spirit that catered to our guests, which they noticed. Sunday was Easter, and I asked you to park away from the main parking lot if possible, to help in preschool, children, and greeting, and in general to create a guestfriendly environment. Thank you for pitching in and doing your part. Your actions put an extra smile of gratitude on my face. I have some good news on the worship leader front. Brandon Meadows, who has led us in worship several times as part of Ascension Worship, will serve us in an interim capacity starting Sunday, April 3 rd. Brandon already knows us and our worship team well and so the transition will be easy. Rehearsals will return to Wednesday evenings starting April 6 th. If you have not done so already, please introduce yourself to Brandon, his wife Christine, and their daughter, Ellie. Come enjoy a game or two and support our Youth Department through concession sales! Join us at! Please make reservations by noon on Wednesday! Connect Where You Live Saturday, April 9 Prayerwalking is a simple activity that does not require you to approach your neighbors or co-workers or to even know their specific needs. In fact, prayerwalkers are those who are "on the scene without making one." Through God's inspiration, you will discern certain areas that need your concentrated prayer. WHERE SHOULD I PRAY? Invite God to show you where He wants you to pray, and be willing to visit those places He reveals. Although you will want to allow for some flexibility in your route, plan to stop in specific, predetermined areas to target your prayers. You may want to consider pausing at the following locations for a focused time of prayer: Individual homes, streets, Schools, churches, hospitals, businesses, parks Please pray for the street on which you live. Feel free to choose as many streets as you wish so that we may blanket our community in prayer! April 6 Chicken Alfredo April 13 Covered Dish Supper April 20 Mexican April 27 Jambalaya
