Easter Holiday Food Baskets We will begin collecting for the Easter food baskets on the first Sunday of March and continue thru to Easter. It is anticipated there will be as many needy families for this holiday as it was for Christmas, somewhere between 100 and 110. The cost of each basket runs about $35-36 and contains enough food for several meals. Delivery date will probably be on APRI 10 th, thou this has not been confirmed. Your time, financial and transportation support will be greatly appreciated. This usually requires three to four hours for completion. All that have participated in the past have all gone away with a warm feeling, knowing that they have helped feed Gods children. Cursillo Many thanks, to those that went with us to the Joy Lutheran Church s Multi Denominational Ultreya on February 2 nd. What a wonderful program they provided for the group of 40+/- attendees. This group was comprised of 4 members from the United Methodist, 4 members from Advent and the balance from Joy. A good time was had by all that participated. Our next grouping is on last Sunday of March, held in the rear classroom, after mass. We hope that some of our Cursillo people will be able to attend. Coffee Hour As with all the other ministers, we are constantly seeking volunteers to assist with the coffee hour. All items needed are provided by the church, you just need to volunteer your time and talents. This usually requires about fifteen minutes prior to and thirty minutes after service. Will you please pray about this and see if you are called to volunteer for this ministry. Backpacks 4 Kids This program is running quite smoothly. We are very fortunate and thankful for the financial support and volunteers that help promote and carry out this ministry. There are approximately 1500+/_ children that are fed thru this Interfaith sponsored program each week. What a challenge that is and how wonderfully they achieve it. What a blessing it is to be able to share in this ministry. Thank you, Lesley Ciullo If you borrowed a black vestment from the church, could you please return it? Its owner is looking for it. Thank you Humor of the Day Three boys are in the schoolyard bragging about their fathers. The first boy says, 'My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a poem, they give him $50.' The second boy says, 'That's nothing. My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a song, they give him $100.' The third boy says, 'I got you both beat. My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a sermon, and it takes eight people to collect all the money!'
