Rev. Mike Winters Pastor Ben Harding Music Director Dr. Ray Jones, Jr. Pastor Emeritus WISE BAPTIST NEWS A PUBLICATION FOR MEMBERS AND FRIENDS OF WISE BAPTIST CHURCH May 8, 2018 A place for faith and fellowship with family and friends. Dear Church Family and Friends, Promises. Keeping promises helps build and maintain relationships. The Bible is full of promises. God is faithful to fulfill His promises to us. Let s look at one special promise in Isaiah 65:24. God s people had relied on the promises of kings and powers who would not or could not grant the security the people wanted. Isaiah calls on the people to return to God, and trust in Him and His promises. God says in Isaiah 65:24, Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. Isn t that an amazing promise? God is already at work, before we even pray! God knows our needs better than we. Take a few moments to reflect about the year 2018. How has God been providing for you in ways that you needed before you were even aware? It may not have been something for which you asked, but was something you needed. Now, there is Someone we can trust and upon Whom we can build a life! MUSIC * Youth * Children News Greetings Everyone! "My mother was the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I am I owe to my mother. I attribute all my success in life to the moral, intellectual and physical education I received from her." - George Washington Had it not been for the relationship with his mother and his willingness to heed her advice whenever it was given, Mr. Washington would have been aboard a ship that lost all souls during a storm...our first President would have not been present during the time that our nation established itself as an independent entity, and history would have been vastly different. All of our lives would be vastly different had it not been for our mothers. Regardless of her being biological, adoptive, or someone who you looked up to as a mother-type figure, our mothers have shaped who we are and who we will be long after their presence is gone.
