Committee Meetings Finance Committee - Tuesday, May 17th, 6:00pm in the Gold Band classroom. (Visitors Welcome!) Church Council - Tuesday, May 17th, 7:00pm. May Missions We are collecting large bath towels to be used at Hope Tree (formerly the Baptist Children s Home). Boxes will be located in the Welcome Center. Need a Ride to Church? The church bus picks up folks every Sunday. Just call and let us know if you need a ride. Likewise, if you are a regular rider and do not need a ride for a particular Sunday, we would like to hear from you. Please call one of the drivers, or the church at 344-7748. The driver schedule with phone numbers is printed on the back page of the calendar. If you cannot reach the assigned driver for a particular week, please call one of the other drivers on the list. Memorial Gifts Memorial gifts have been given in memory of Dr. James C. Gale by Warren and Maureen Dalton, Conrad and Kathleen Dalton, and the Shi Kang Society. Serving Christ Through Worship, Work and Witness Page 3 Music Ministry Notes. Wednesdays The Ladies Group rehearses every Wednesday at 10:00am. The Children and Youth have music time every Wednesday night. The Sanctuary Choir has rehearsal every Wednesday night at 7:15pm. National Day of Prayer st May 1, the National Day of Prayer, the ladies quartet will sing and lead the congregation in worship accompanied by musical guest Rachel Waddell on the flute. Mother s Day th May 8, Mother s Day, we will have special music provided by the ladies from our church. Children s Ministry Christian Service Day May 21st at 10:00am Word of Life Christian Service Requirement Day. The two side rooms in the Sunday School area will be cleaned. Church Picnic at Thunder Valley Plan to be at Thunder Valley Wednesday, May 25th for the church-wide picnic. There will be putt-putt, go-carts, and games galore! Student Ministry Sunday, May 1st, following the morning service, the Youth Committee will meet to plan events for the Summer and Fall, 2011. May 19th & 21st RVBA Volleyball Tournament Saturday, May 21st Word of Life Christian Service Project (The type of service, to be determined, is student outreach) Wednesday, May 25th Thunder Valley Night The church-wide picnic is held in connection with Friend and Family Day, Sunday, May 22nd.
